Nr Dumfries

I absolutely adore Bannermans (Cowgate). Live music most nights and the management and bar staff are amongst the quickest and most professional I've come across in years.

Many years ago The Diggers closed for a 'refurb'. When it reopened, they hadn't even emptied the ashtrays.

It's still a fine wee shop though.

They had only just started letting women in when I first went.

Surprised it closed, it was always busy.
