Ok. So ive stopped smoking for 3 months now and my weight has ballooned to 11 stone so im doing my gym and my diets etc to get it back in under control.

What i need to knwo is, after alot of research ive found a list of supplements that i think will help to curb hunger cravings and aid muscle development so that i can achieve my goal faster.

Are there any body builders / personal trianers on fab? if so, what do you think of my daily list below..

100mg of phenylethylamine, 200mcg as chromium picolinate, 1g of glucomannan, 50mg of 5-HTP

Its all about what you re looking to achieve. your body will adapt over time to changes you make, I guess since quitting smoking you re eating more out of habit? boredom? something to do? That is probably why your weight has increased.

Look at ways to address that, enjoy your training for what it is and make small gains gradually with advice from your trainer.

The goal of stopping smoking should be one in itself to be rewarded and worked at, from there you may wish to develop muscle, increase cv fitness or endurance so that might involve entering a race, achieving so many press ups or whatever it is that turns you on (so to speak).

Good luck and I wouldnt get too wound up about supplements as there is no better supplement than good nutrition, sleep, water, exercise and a healthy long term outlook x

Try insanity workout.....its less than an hour a day 6 days a week.......I've been doing it for 1 month now and just kept an eye on what I eat, but still had atleast 1 day a week when I eat what I want and I've lost over 2 stone......sometimes have a protein shake but don't think that matters if your eating correctly. I could show you the before and after pics, but I'm not putting em online lol

I use d30 tablets when I'm looking to cut or lose weight and still build muscle. The problem with them is you start to burn stored fat by suppressing your appetite which has quick results but they dnt last. If you stop your body stores more fat to combat it happening again. That doesn't bother me as I do bulking phases aswell but if you dnt train hard enough u pile it back on

The best thing to do is a proper diet and proper training regime with muscle building excercises as the more muscle mass you have the quicker fat is burned x

I eat what I want to eat. Instead of 3 large square meals a day I have cut the portions but eat more often.

I do not however eat after a particular time in the day. I set a time and have stuck to it all my sporting life.

Count the calories you put in and then work out an exercise plan that burns more per day. Ensure your plan includes each body part you wish to improve.

I am a martial artist and an ex pro boxer. I do not use weights except small dumbells. In the ring we used 4-6oz gloves so I would shadow box with bells with 14-16oz plates.

For the rest of my body I use skipping ropes for cardio as my knees are fecked and I can no longer run like I used to. For my upper body arms and legs I live across the road from a Leisure Centre. I do not use the gym as I cannot afford the monthly rates. However I can use the pool.

It is amazing the difference swimming does. I average 3 miles a week up and down the pool.

I do not waste money I can't afford on products like fat burners or muscle gain.

Natural food products which contain protein, minerals and fibre do the exact same thing cheaper especially pulses and soups.

One if the best far burners on the market contains Caffeine and aspirin. I only drink black coffee. It's the milk in your Latte that piles on the weight. Take an aspirin a day, helps thin your blood and holds cardio illnesses at bay longer.

ECA stack

Clenbuterol

Both will help you lose weight fast, but you have to be careful with the doses.

Clen is a bit much for someone wanting to lose a bit of weight. It's no good if you've got a dodgy ticker n it can make u a bit shaky. Look for something with real Ma huang n caffeine in it

Find yourself a good dietician and they will help with what to eat and how many times per day . Plus your body will amass weight until it sorts itself out as u gave up smoking ( doctors words to me ) as I stopped over a year ago , think positive and u will be fine

Very well said...my sentiments exactly....healthy living is a lifestyle choice and shouldn't been seen as a chore...health is wealth

Now there's food for thought (excuse the pun) well put...very in-depth...good on ya buddy...I've never been to a gym in my life & I have no intention of going as I believe the great outdoors is my gym and there is enough we can do in our general day to day existence to stay fit and healthy...it's all about being more active...I walk and cycle everywhere since I got rid of my cars...waste of money that they were not to mention the negative impact on my health they had and the environment...also a proper diet free of junk/processed foods and fizzy drinks...when im thirsty I drink water...it's the least fattening natural beverage that im aware of...its all about educating yourself about your choices and applying that knowledge effectively by exercising your abilities in self restraint and self discipline...I don't go out for meals or eat takeaways I don't go out to the pub as id rather go for a walk and burn calories rather than sit about and pile them on whilst emptying my pocket...it's surprising how a little effort can go a long way
