It’s bad ,but, growing up and living here , I’ve kind of taken it for granted. Not been for a few years, maybe just a drink at someone venues .

Used to love a random show at the Pleasance Courtyard, saw John Bishop there for about £4 when he was starting out , me and about 15 other people 😂

The apps the best way, I never plan it, depends on weather if it's sunny etc end up in the gardens, streets till evening time. If it's raining make the most of the shows all day. Hope you enjoy Edinburgh.

We usually stay over a couple of nights to enjoy 3 full days, we booked the Sheraton Grand back in January with a confirmed price and we looked at the booking last week and price went up by £74

We called the hotel and they explained that it was due to newly introduced City Tax (tourist tax)

We cancelled simply due to principal and refuse to pay a tax to the incompetent Edinburgh Council.

Enjoy the fringe this year, but we are boycotting.

I haven't spend that much last few years attending, though we tend to book last minute free shows now and put in a donation. They've been full of wonderful, (good) wierd and extremely funny shows! Always meet the wackiest of lovley people from all over the world in the cues. We've never stayed over since covid due to the price hikes with hotels. But we get the last train home instead. Always a fantastic day out!

We are going to see Stevie nicks and Phil Colin’s tribute. Frisky reshuffle which is great. Connor burns and Stuart Mitchell. Best of the fest late night comedy and ladyboys so far. We spend a lot of time in Edinburgh over the next month then we are staying over the 22nd. If anyone is up for meet, social drinks and a laugh feel free to give us a shout

I really wanna catch susie McCabe just saw her at Queen’s Park and I love Daniel sloss too didn’t know he was playing! The app is easier than the book but not by much and esp if you don’t know Edinburgh! Went a couple years back with a fab friend and we’d booked 2 shows one after the other kinda opposite ends of city! Can't recommend SPANK enough. It's normally in the udderbelly at 12:30. Half time they get someone naked on stage for a couple of beers.

It's a class comedy night. It's always different. Dark sense of humour required.

The app can be a bit flakey. I still like the old school fringe guide to plan things out. But if you’re out and about then if you go with the flow there will definitely be shows at the main venues.

Worst case scenario, just ask the jokers and the clowns!

I'd say if you have time take a walk about and see the posters because they give great inspiration.

There's also the free fringe app that has tons of shows you pay a tip rather than ticket if you find a free hour.

There's a lot of adult magic and variety acts on this year.

It's just a shame having to head back to Glasgow you miss the 10pm - midnight shows, if anyone has a spare sofa or bed during the Festival I'd take it lol

Yesterday afternoon we saw Crime Scene Improvisation and it was hilarious! Major audience participation. We then went on to the Black Blues Brothers which was amazing and had a great sound track!

Back again on Saturday for a full day with friends!
