Not technically correct.

ICI own the section of the beach that is designated "naturist".

There used to be another one at Gailes down in Irvine. The council owned that one and removed the rights for it in the 80's. The council cannot prohibit it on the ICI section of Ardeer and they don't own the land and ICI have zero interest in it. The council did try with signs, but they were continually vandalised or torn down.

It is very much a grey area, and not talking about the mature meerkats that are there
