I'm thinking about heading up on Thursday or Friday, hoping the half decent weather forecast is accurate. It'll be my first visit this year. Has anyone been up there this year, and has anything changed?

Winter storms in past years have dumped lots of stones/debris on the beach and removed much of the sand. The vegetation behind the sand at the far south end is also slowly advancing forward, further reducing the beach depth.

I just wondered if anyone has seen it this year.

Thursday’s forecast looks great. Looks like perfect weather for another visit.

How do you get there? I've driven down, seen the railway bridge, but don't know where to go from there

Heard about this beach and seen people speak about it but I have no idea what the name of it is or where it is and I guess there is a certain area that’s nudest?

I was at Crackaig this Wednesday, and enjoyed around 7 hours naked in the sunshine. The textile campsite next door was reasonably busy for midweek, but I was the only one "Round the corner" on the official nudist beach. It was chilly at times in the moderate breeze, so I mostly hunkered down in the small rock alcove at the North end to sunbathe. Now and again, I'd walk the shoreline and only encountered a few dog wakers who all stopped and chatted regardless of my nudity. I was pleased to see a lot of the large stones had been washed away to be replaced by a very fine grained sand at the North end. The rock alcove is now filled with soft sand rather than the previous stones, making it a perfect spot. A different story at the South end where most of the area up to the burn, is now littered with stones. A pity as it was previously my favourite spot. Just shows how much reshaping goes on during winter storms

It was the strangest stop of our trip loads of abandoned caravans and a very low bridge to get the van through

Seen on local campervan page three days ago
