Whether it’s purely for hiking and company or with a view to adding in what this site is all about.

If you’re like me you probably did all the closet ones and getting further away?

Not easy getting time to do hiking when you have kids.

There are several ridges that can get the tally up quicker.

Fitness, stamina, freedom, adventure and good for the mind.

Also meet a lot of good people on the mountains.

I’ve done a load of them as well, but in weird in that I’ve never kept a tally of the number, it’s just been about the exercise and views for me. I’d say it’s probably somewhere between about 30-35 possibly. I’d need to sit down and remember which ones I’ve done and take some sort of note lol

Yes, have done many and with a mix of social hiking and ‘fun’ outdoor sessions finding a secluded spot on the way.

My urges are always strong and having had some willing companions throughout the years with the same thoughts and desires, it works well.

But you can’t beat a recumbent stone circle!

That’s a lot in year, wouldn’t be possible for me due to working and add in the weather which limits hiking activities.

I try to do 30 per year, did 41 one year.

I’ve done all the Loch Ericht 6 in a day and the magnificent 7 of Glenshiel, many other big hikes.

Work mate did it a few weeks ago, still a fair bit of snow on top.

Don’t think you’d need crampons, as the snow will be softer, but may need to avoid possible avalanches

That’s a really adventurous hike, you must be extremely fit.

Can’t get to Bidean Nam Bian, can’t get the day off and don’t want to go on Saturday, will be too busy. Reckon I’ll do Sgorr Dhonaill & Sgorr Dhearg (Beinn a Bheithir) instead. Meant to be a nice ridge hike.

Do you not find there are Munros the dogs couldn’t get up? Did one recently (Gairich) which wasn’t that steep until nearer the top and there was like a 2 meter high wall.

On the way down chatted with a lady and her black lab and mentioned there may be an issue

Very bouncy springers and if they couldn’t jump/scramble I’d lift them. There are a few we’ve been up that it wasn’t possible for last 50-100m

My dogs go everywhere I go.

3 x 3 Peaks and our best is 2 days 18 hours.

I find Nevis the worst for ignorance and tolerance towards dogs

Schiehallion is a nice Munro, did it a long time ago, sadly when I did it a tourist had fallen 100 meters from the edge and I saw the metal recovery box being dropped from the helicopter alongside the ambulance.

3.5 hours round trip is good going.

I did both the Ballachulish munros on Saturday, 6 hour round trip but they’re over 1000 meters starting at sea level

Was going to do Bidean nam Bian but with a huge boulder field covered in deep snow thought it best to leave it till September

Yes, it’s a cracker, one of the Scottish classics.

Postponed it for better weather but hoping to climb the two Munros on Beinn Eighr on Wednesday .

Lot of fog and mist just now, had a fine day when i climbed Beinn Bheithir last Saturday

I saw that, one body found on An Stac the other not found yet and another missing heading to the hills, car found in Glen Coe but not been seen.

Its such a shame and until I started working and living up North years ago you dont realise how often it happens unfortunately.
