Drive to Cabbage.Slice.Workroom. Then walk along the beach heading South. Past the Robert Burns Mural. Wager.Jungle.folk. Walk about another 10 minutes. Find a spot and enjoy.

Its not signposted or anything, but follow the directions for the beach hub, then follow the road past as far as you can (the last bit is off road and a little rough, be careful in a low car), walk east along the beach, the naturist area is past the Burns portrait mural on the sea wall, couples area is first, guys bit is further on

Just thought I would put a post up telling those who don’t know Ardeer what it is and who goes.

Ardeer is an unofficial nudest beach. Runs a good few miles between Stevenston point and the river Irvine. Now adays during the week it is 99% men. Unless it’s an exceptionally hot and perhaps a couple may come down. Don’t expect single girls to turn up, it won’t happen. For those who like to sit 3 feet from a couple and play with their man hood. Massive turn off. It’s a fantastic place, behave as you would on a normal beach and enjoy it. With the word getting out about this place, it has attracted pervs and odd people. Such a shame. Personally I love it and I don’t go hoping to get laid. It’s a naturist beach. The message is, for those thinking it’s an opportunity to letch and have women offering sex. It’s not. Please don’t embarrass yourself.

If anyone reading this agrees or disagrees please feel free to comment. With the threat of housing being built on the Ardeer peninsula, this amazing beach will not be here for much longer.

The soft sand was sooo much hotter than I remembered from the last heatwave we had. The walk to the water burned the arch of my feet every time.

Then the water was cold and had certain parts that were freezing. It took me walking in and out of the water 3 times for the pain in my feet to subside enough to actually swim.

9/10 - Had a great day

Next time I'm just taking my wetsuits booties though. Need to remember to take a power bank as well. My photoshoots got cancelled due to dead phone

Been going to ardeer since my parents first took me when I was younger

It’s changed a lot since then. I get down a lot but usually in the morning before it’s busy and sometimes later in the evening as I stay 25 mins from the beach

Yes my parents are naturists and the beach is a naturist beach. I wouldn’t take my kids nowadays

People might have done things back when I was younger but it wasn’t on show like it is these days respect was shown and most wer naturists

But the beach looked a bit diffrent back then most of it has eroded

"Roasting hot day at the beach, was busy and spoke to a few folk. Had a nice chat in the water with a nice wee woman. On way in was talking to a lassie who was just at the start of the beach and walked along with me for a nosy haha.... Said next time she might join us
