Single female here 🙋‍♀️ I went to a club solo and not knowing anyone at all, was a bit overwhelming tbh but I stuck with it and went 2 an organised social (through this) and met so many great gals who we go 2 the club as a group now 😀. Defo go, everyone is friendly and you wont be sat alone for long.

Im a club newbie, I went to an organised social but still struggled tbh then I became friends with a couple who are regulars on the club scene. They took me to AD with them and introduced me to loads people. Im now in a group chat and have made loads new friends. If you're chatty and outgoing you will be absolutely fine. Keep an eye on the forum for organised socials there is loads coming up

It can be overwhelming. Best advice is pick an event that interests you. We go to GGGB and they can be full on. Going with a partner is a good idea as they can keep an eye on things and give you support. Good luck xx

Highlands/Aberdeen/Dundee

Clubs are a great place to meet new people and make connections in the scene.

In Scotland we are somewhat limited in options, (Bacchus in Dundee, After Dark in Edinburgh, Ecclesia and CJ’s in Glasgow and Maximus in Stevenson) but luckily they are all within a relatively short travel distance.

It’s well worth trying a few visits and seeing what they are like for yourself.

The club environment is generally very safe with staff and plenty of other club goers to look out for you. So visiting solo or as a pair or group are all options.

Generally most people that attend are lovely and will welcome you to sit with them in the social areas if you would like to join them.

Some days/events are going to be quieter and have more of a social slant with the option for play and may be a better first time experience if you are apprehensive about going.

However the busy events can be a lot of fun.

Best piece of advice is just to take that first step and see for yourself what it’s like.
