I visited both some years ago. Don't know about Oban, but Isle of Mull is empty enough for some good dogging locations. Best to go there with a car on the ferry.

From a local...i wouldn't recommend oban at this time of year, the town is pandemonium. If you are here... no official nude beaches but there's a few that are quiet enough where no one would notice...or care.
