Having only been to Cjs I am wondering if any other clubs allow entry to single guys?

We noticed in Cjs the choice is very limited.

All clubs in Scotland allow single guys unless it's specifically a couples and single female night.

Yea I know but it’s only a few at Cjs and we are looking for more. The clubs down south seem to allow many more.

CJ will have a ratio worked out. The more single women and couples that attend, the more single guys. Part of the issue will be single guys putting their name on the list and then bottling it, wasting a space that could have been taken by a guy who would show up.

Is that how they work it?

We were at a club in Birmingham a while back and my wife enjoyed a glorious evening exhausting a group of very fit black guys.

We tried inviting a few to join us in a Scottish club but none could get their name on the list unfortunately. There were a few guys at the club but none worth getting excited about.

Depends on the theme of the night. If it’s greedy girls then more guys get entry.

That’s a possible solution.

Having never been to a greedy girls event I’m not entirely sure how it works though. Are the girls expected to open their legs for every guy in the establishment?

Or is a bit of selection or preference allowed for?

I've been to loads of the Greedy Girl Events.

There's always at least one guy who clearly thinks the women are just there for everyone, but they tend to get identified and dealt with quickly.

Then there's usually a relatively large number of guys who don't actively take part for ages 'cause they're there for the first time, are too nervous, odd, etc.

Then there's a solid number of guys that get involved, and you tend to find that they and the women / couples can all identify each early on and it goes from there.

Cjs does a Friday night once a month that will have plenty single guys at it, and a Wednesday afternoon also. Check the dates.

Some clubs just say to turn up, others have an attendance list. CJs themed nights are very busy (250-300 people) so the amount of people wanting to attend needs to be offset against health and safety regulations for the building.

For greedy girls events a ratio would certainly be required, if very few women turn up then the place would just be full of guys. So there are practicalities behind having a list.

We visited CJs recently and it was a very quiet night, a surprise as there were no socials or other events happening. She told us there is an increasing number of people putting their names down and not turning up, which is unfortunate. I imagine in that regard there are a certain number of times someone can do that before being blacklisted.

Caroline has been in the business a long time so she knows what she's doing.

On this point, it's always best for single guys to get their names down as early as possible as spots fill up quickly. If it's last minute it's unlikely they'll be able to attend. There is a reserve list but if CJ isn't informed of cancellations she can't use the reserves

It must be a tricky one as the right number of single guys will be different for everyone.

Personally I would never go to CJs as a single guy. Use to go with an ex, and the couples we spoke to were normally pretty snearing about single guys which would now make me self conscious (there is also good reason for that as some are obvs creeps)

I would also say CJs is (or was as I’ve not been since Covid) not a great set up for single guys who want to just go and have fun, it’s much more like a social club that turns into a sex club. Ones I’ve been to down south it’s much more the other way round.

Try Ecclesia for single males, especially on their female-led nights. And no there’s no pressure on a woman to play with every guy at these type of events, you can pick and choose who/how many.

I usually go as a single guy, and it can be tough on your own, not impossible, mind you. I am looking for someone to attend with.

I’m trying my first CJ’s GGBB in a couple of weeks. I’ve been to Ecclesia’s a few times, so I’m keen to see how it compares.

I completely get why people say single guys can sometimes come across as creepy, there are definitely a few older blokes who give off that vibe. Approaching couples can feel intimidating at first, so I tend to start conversations with no expectations, just to be friendly and make connections. CJ’s is such a sociable place that I’ve found I enjoy the night much more that way, whether I end up playing or not.

Cjs has a mix of single guys, single females and couples plus cd/tvs which works.

There’s other clubs in Scotland who have their ratio/mix too

If you find the choice limited, make your selection and host your own event.

Good luck

You've been to a club in real life or your online life... there's NEVER an expectation at a club for that regardless of the theme
