Question for the dominant men

What kind of dominant are you? Having had a very interesting conversation with a lovely dominant man today it really has made me think of what sort of dominant man I’m looking for, but I’m not sure how other men view themselves as a dominant.

I'm not a swinger or into any type of extreme lifestyle which would call for me to be a "dom", "DOM", "master", or whatever terminology is used these days.

During my conversations with women I usually tell them that I'm vanilla. I am 'dominant' in a gentlemanly way: I like to take charge and take the lead, coax my playmate and orchestrate the playtime. In essence I am the dominant partner.

Being dominant is very different from being "dom". Doms see themselves as a breed apart- they treat it as a lifestyle, and love wearing velvet jackets in combination with a gold topped cane. Dominant men basically tell their partners to turn over or arch their back etc

I think the most sensible answer would be “nurturing”. As a Dom, you have to be aware of your sub’s needs as well as your own and ensure that both of these are met otherwise the relationship will be unfulfilling for one or both. Far too many people think being a Dom is all about pain, when in reality it has to be cerebral and start in the head first - willing submission of the mind will lead to that of the body. Anything else is really just kink play.

My preferred Dom is a natural one who is imaginative and respectful but knows how to get the best from me. Never scripted but always respected and I will never call anyone Sir or Master.

But been searching a year so waiting with baited breath x
