Does anybody on here have an Arnold Clark sticker in their car rear window?

If yes, what are they paying you to advertise their company?

If you are not paid, why are you gkving them free advertising?

Why not just ask when you buy a car for them to remove any stickers?…….

What about the number plates?…..

Do you change them also?…..as there’s the name on the bottom of them

I have know two people to have cars of them. With mechanical problems and all Arnold did was fob them off with repairs that never fixed the car. Eventually they took back the car and moves it to another dealer ship and had it back up for sale

Isn’t this mechanical problems that have been wrongly diagnosed tho rather than a dealership ripping customers off?……..

Am thinking to be ripped off when you buy a car is for a sales person to allow you to lump your road tax,car matts and any other accessories you want into your finance package rather than tell you it would be better if you paid these items separately rather than for them over 5 years

Cause you finance your road tax then next year you need to buy it again but your still paying last years and so on

Pointless if you ask me but it’s so the sales person gets more commission on a bigger finance amount

That to me is ripping customers off

I bought a 14-month old 'new' style Volvo XC40, fully loaded, from Arnold Clark in Stirling. The car came with 3 years warranty and 2 full service plans. They transported it down to London for me. The garish-looking sticker came off immediately.

As for mechanical problems and customer service I have had...

Horrible, horrible company.

However, they seem to have the new car market pretty sewn up - in the west of Scotland anyway.

Just try pay cash or get your loan from a bank. Don't whatever you do take their finance. And ask them to remove servicing and also the cleaning kit from any quote.

The sales person will hate you but they still want the sale.

"Sales person receives no finance comission"

Yes they do

That’s why the job is advertised with “ OTE”

Do you remove all of the logo's from your designer clothes, handbags etc?!

"Sales person receives no finance comission

No they dont. "

£25,500 with no company car or £23,500 with company car

On target earnings of £35,000-£40,000 with uncapped earning potential

A flexible five-day working week

33 days’ annual leave

All the training you need to thrive in your role

Private healthcare

Life Assurance

Generous retail discounts

Maternity & Paternity packages

That there is a copy and paste from Arnold’s web site for a love at the moment sales job in Glasgow

Second line “OTE” on target earnings!

So yes they do get commission as they are on a basic wage which is topped up with commission based on upselling…… finance, service plans, optional warranty, care package, tyre insurance the list goes on

So again as I said if your not wise for these things then this is where a dealer can rip you off

Think that’s more to do with folk liking that particular brand to be seen in rather than being ripped off
