I got mine done on the Nhs about 8 weeks after referral, I think you can get it quicker if you opt for a clinic over a hospital to do it.

Been waiting since 2020, and recently got told I could speed things up by going to Glasgow for it.

Too far for me.

If you go through your GP it takes ages, can self refer through Sandyford and get it done relatively quick. Plus get a wee game of Where's Wally on the ceiling panel 😂

Got mine a couple month after submitting and done in Feb25. Post vasectomy sample done this morning so better have worked 😂

Got done around 20years ago on the nhs was easy and simple, but wear tight swimming trunks for a few days after, if you don't it's incredibly painful

It'll come around faster than you think. I went through the stage thinking that I'd been forgotten but was contacted to come in for an examination to see if i was fit for surgery and then after that was told it would be going ahead in 4 weeks time. My personal opinion would be to wait and not go private. Paying a fortune just to get it done a month or so earlier seems silly. I started of on the waiting list before lockdown so had no choice to wait. After everything was back to normal it didn't take long to get seen to.
