This is the correct answer. You don't pass reception to get to the lifts and they don't require key card. They also offer day rates.

Good location spitting distance from Central and plenty pubs etc nearby.

Village is also a good shout. Stairs are right by the entrance so no issues getting to room. Only downside is that it's a wee bit out of city centre but perfect if you are driving.

In the west.

The PremierInn at Buchanan Galleries has a loft on the ground floor. The reception is on the first floor.

It's now called the Leonardo. Make sure you book the Jamaica St one though. There are others in city.

We like Leonardo hotel Jamaica Street for us

But lnow that security do man the doors in the late evening and we have been stopped trying to bring friends back to our room late at night.

ApartHotel at StEnoch is good and doesn’t have that issue.

Yup the Leonardo offers day rates. They advertise it for traveling or shopping trips but everyone knows it 99.9% shaggers.

That is strange.

Your room, do they not have a bar you could be going too?

There is nothing in the t&cs about having guests back for sex. I would write to customer services

Further posts on here saying they do day rates for meets also

As someone who has worked in Hotels as a senior manager over the years.

I can confirm that there is no restrictions to having guests visit during the day and in the evening. The only exception is if you have guest staying overnight.

It is not really an hotel regulation, but down to the Fire regulations and their fire certificate.

I hope that offers some clarity and help when visiting "Friends"

I’ve had a meet in the Clayton hotel, that’s a pain because the building is like a maze and you need key cards so I’d avoid that one personally.

Yotel is my go to, needs key cards, but it’s easy enough to get in, front desk don’t interact with you and in the evenings there’s normally no one there but rooms are easy to find imo.

Leonardo however is the best choice, no key cards for lifts, straight through, front desk is not an issue
