Just watched this hidden gem for the first time in years. 240 years the eagle he was lord above and rob was lord below. Its when they end up in a bar in mexico drinking cocktails that taste like gobstoppers. Who believes in ghosts?

i would say it was one of the best movies ever to come out of scotland, at that time

the sound track was good from the original big country

none of the original members are there

the last 2 retire the base player Tony Butler - they don't have that sound any more

Id go with local hero or restless natives. Watching fulton mackay completely outclass burt lancaster is epic. LH is somwhat deeper using the phone box as a metaphor for human connection, the happiest man in the whole film is the hermit on the beach vs the unhappiest who is the billionaire oil baron etc. RN is just plain daftness.
