I personally don't have any public face pictures on my profile but do in my private and friends for sharing when comfortable.

What are people's opinions about when you share a face pic with someone. Do you expect one back or would you ask ?

If it were the other way. Would you send 1 back even if you didn't find them attractive?

I have them in my friends only pics. I don’t send face pics first to unverified profiles.

If I’m not attracted to someone I’ll say no thanks and then not send one back as there’s no point

As I'm someone who had pictures used and had to start a profile from scratch all over again I like to have a bit of conversation first to see if we're a match personality wise and if they're genuinely wanting to meet.

And if I'm not for them I'd rather a simple not for us thank you rather than than not replying at all then blocking you from messaging

For me I have face pictures as it is how I get chats sometimes

On the other hand, if it takes weeks or months for the other person to send a face picture and I don’t fancy you it’s really not my fault

Doesn't matter cant block distances

If I can't get excited about them through their words location or desire to meet in person BEFORE I've seen them I don't see a point in seeing what they look like... I can't dismiss or include someone by looks alone.. they mean ZERO to me if the mug is attached to a cunty asshole... I'm aware that order doesn't exist for most nowadays

Sorry but I disagree.

If you send a pic first and I’m not attracted I don’t see the point in returning a pic as i have no intention of meeting you in person.

What’s the point in me posting my face back ?

Just so they can see who turned them down !

I send a polite no thanks not my type message which usually is well received. We can’t be for everyone …. This includes me

if someone asks for a face pic then ask for theirs first since they were the one asking.

If they are reluctant then move on .

If however you ask first then it's only right you should send one first whether the person you are sending one to returns one then it's totally upto them but as others have said there would be no need if there isn't an attraction to take things further .

It’s absolutely about the mind first! I can want to be with, and fancy someone purely through conversation. As you say it’s not for all or the norm these days, but the mind is a powerful tool!

I never ask for a face pic , if someone chooses to send one to me then that's on them . As harsh as it sounds if there isn't an attraction then games a bogey for me , don't see the point in replying with a face pic to say here's me but I'm not interested . Its a bit like "here's what you could've won " .

Also I'd never meet blind so at some point one would need to be sent before even getting to arranging a meet .

But I'm not turning someone down strictly due to a picture they might just be shit at taking a picture..if they are ALSO SHIT AT typing AND talking it's not about their picture but the whole package was a dismissal..

I dont have the time to be chatting to anyone before seeing a facepic, if down the line i see a pic and im not physically attracted to them then no matter how great we get on im never going to meet them, its just wasted time.

we generally send out face pics quite early in conversations but only if theres a bit of back and forth, if conversation continues at that point and there is no sign of pics being returned we take that as a sign to move on,
