Ive met some what I thought were nice ppl who have turned out to be not that nice but then thats not obvious at the time and we all live n learn. Other times I've met what I thought were not so nice ppl who have turned out to be very nice. Guess we all gotta make up our own minds and should never listen to mindless gossip.

I' ve thought of fab as having three types of users:

Those who just use the forums

Those who don't

And those who use both

When you say 'here' I think of the forum users.

It might be harder to accept people as genuinely nice, because sometimes if you argue or disagree with one person you argue with all their mates. Take on one and you need to prepared to take on them all. While at the same time some of the other decent profiles stand back and do nothing, not wanting to become involved.

It's an easier way to project abuse at someome while hiding behind a screen.

It can be a dangerous mixture having someone who isn't nice, and who has a poor command of English.

The nicest people I've met from here are all people who avoid the forums.

I don't really see any contradiction with myself sometimes using the forums while at the same time saying that the best people I've met make it a point in telling me that they don't use the forums. Neither did I say there was anything wrong with using the foruns or its users.

Id like to to try and keep a dignified silence for the rest of this posting, what I've said should be clear enough.

I think I understood what was meant..obviously its been a little twisted.

Vast majority of FAB users dont use the forums, and lots dont use the chatrooms

the forums is actually the lowest percent of fabs use...not saying it makes it a bad or good thing..its just realistic

I'm more of a forum reader than a participant but I'd say a lot of people forget the basic rule of the Internet - "if you haven't got anything good to say, it's best to say nothing at all". It's clear that there is a very real community here that mixes both online, at socials and (so I'm told) in bed. Just as with a RL community, those that aren't nice get excluded over time so for me, those people who have been here a while with verifications and friends lists are likely to be nice people.

Everyone on here is genuinely nice.

At times others may show an aspect that might not show their most appealing aspect, whether its meant as fun, a momentary lapse in thought or deed, or just that they have differences (to our own way of thinking). The ones to avoid are the ones out to cause malice. Sadly they are probably the furtive, secretive type that never get caught.

I'm thinking of the types that deliberately go out their way to cause harm & disappointment, from not showing up to Meets, to wrecking Socials, drawing attention from the press or other Social Network sites - that kind if thing.

People will always disagree on certain topics but the one thing I think we'd all agree on is that once you've been bitten it makes you cautious on certain user profiles, be that Newbies, unverified profiles, revolving door profiles that join/leave etc.

That might make many regular users a bit wary & skittish but for the main we focus on those who are nice & tend to vet or scrutinise them. It won't stop us being sorely disappointed & hope it doesn't taint or _iew on the majority of users. After all we are here to find fun, enjoyment & ultimately sexual compatibility with other like-minded people.

So if we put a 3 Strikes & yer out clause on folk it's probably due to the minority spoiling things for the majority. On the main tho we're optimists & think everyone deserves a chance (until they prove otherwise).

Hope this makes sense.

That's a bit of a sweeping statement (which you're entitled to & no doubt have your reasons for), however in my experience I would simply avoid anything to do with those who have disappointed you. If the site had so many disingenuous users it would soon have folk leaving in droves.

I think it's up to genuine good folk to make the site a good & fun place to visit. Despite disappointments of my own online I'm not going to let it turn me into a negative member.

I hope any disappointments don't let you or other users turn you off & make it a negative experience on Fab. It's still a great site.

(Bee) Mmmmm bit of a dilemma now after reading all this as maybe I've just been completely bullied and insulted out with my upbringing and schooling to really care what so called adults are saying about me on here anymore, but if I overheard you bad mouthing, insulting, disrespecting or simply implying an untruth about someone innocent, (wether male or female) I would be one of the first telling you to get a grip and grow up. The idea of fab I thought was like minded ADULTS socialising, finding an attraction and enjoying the freedom of being sexually open with each other. i have not had the good fortune to be offered a weekly bonking session by any fems on fab but at the three socials i have attended and a couple of lunches everyone i have met have been nothing but nice to me ,, to tell if folk are genuine is another test of time and trust but i go with my gut and not perceptions

I think maybe its the old concept, "The best defence is a good offence"

In social sites as in real world, people tend to have this high wall around them to protect their weaknesses (get hurt), some times they are aggressive, sarcastic or rude.

Then apply the statement....you trust others to do as you would. (sort a wrong thinking..."who has the best burglar alarm? A thief!")

So when some one is nice, correct, honest and caring......it throws these people off balance. They do not know how to react other than disbelief.

The best thing to do is wish these people a nice day, good luck with their search and keep doing wot you are doing.
