Have you hidden your profile on here before ? And if so , what was your reason ? One of my pet hates tbh , maybe just because I'm nosy lol xx

Yes because I was working on a remote location and I knew of atleast one of my coworkers were on here too. I don’t have anything out of the ordinary for this site but I guess it was just to avoid a certain topic coming up during shifts

Sometimes (as the site says) if you want a wee break from fab, rather than delete just hide your profile and come back when (and if) you feel like it. Also, it does cut down on messages big time. As many know, profiles are often ignored even if you say not seeking contact etc. Yes, agree it can be annoying if for example you’ve read a comment on the forum and you then click on that persons profile to learn a wee bit more about them but hey, gotta respect that persons right to do so too

Regularly hide my profile if I’m busy with work or “real life” drama.

I quite like to hop on and read the forums without receiving messages.

Saves logging back in to dozens of unwanted messages when I can’t meet or wasting anyone’s time replying that I’m not free to meet.

We never hide it.

If everyone stopped hiding and had a "so what" response to any potential "I saw you" comments then the taboo would disappear. As for the pestery guys, we just block all single males and occasionally unblock if we want one.

I meant hiding from being listed "incase someone sees me on here and in physical world" who are they gonna gossip to? And does it really matter if their mum does know you're on fab?

I hide mine from lists, couldnt care who knows am on here it just saves my inbox being overrun with i saw u looking messages.. yes i could block all and do my own search but why should i? And i dont have time to reply 'so what' to everyone im not interested in

I've hidden mine in the past - usually just because real life is busy and no real time meaningful free time .. I've also hidden it when a colleague was talking about joining fab ... Figured it was best to give it some time - see if he joined and then block him - which is ultimately what happened

It's all about personal circumstances though - totally get the female point of view to hide online presence etc

I hide it because most refuse to read and message only off my gallery images, so I get vile inappropriate messages and it becomes too revolting.

No image access removes 99% of that.
