Just happened to me again, people agree to swap face pics then after rejection of yours don't send theirs. Is this an acceptable standard?? Love to know others viewpoints and opinions..

I think it's acceptable for people not to share their face if they don't like the look of you

I agree. It's perfectly acceptable. They didn't fancy you, so no pic or reply. Same with emails. No reply is a polite 'no thanks'. Leave them be and move on.

It's a commom understanding there are more than 75+ males to every female or couple. They can't answer everyone. It's nothing personal. Smile and move on.

Personal choice, no obligation to send anything

I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all. If we chat with a guy then receive a pic and it ain’t happening, well it ain’t happening. There is no point sending ours because, it ain’t happening.

I can’t see how you’ve been ‘done’.

Male ego plays are large role I think

Unfortunately it’s just how it goes, the underlying issue is the feeling of loss of power in the exchange, you sent yours and were rejected and were refused the same opportunity as a result.

Irrespective of the process and fairness, the result wouldn’t have changed after being sent a face pic back.

It’s also an ego boost thing for the other too.

Best to just accept it as is and move on, as all have said. It will happen a lot and there is nothing to be done about it.

Yes that's what happened in this instance only no swap, also the pic was requested by the lady her idea, maybe my mistake I should have said you first but I trusted her.

If you agree to swop pics ...you should do what you have agreed .

If you say send us a pic and if we like you we may send one back ..well then that's different and the person can make a decision.

Unless there's a service where each side deposits their photos, which are then released to the other, one party is going to have to share first.

But, being realistic, the vast majority of interactions are going to be between people without mutual compatibility.

Once any party no longer has interest in the other, it's game over. Many men here have copious amounts of high grade public photos. When they do this, they are mitigating the potential for someone else finding that they're not the right person for them.

But you'll still need to be mutually compatible in person. Sometimes the photos and remote chat might seem good but it won't work in the flesh.

You just need to arm yourself with thicker skin and to have realistic expectations.

Another issue, especially for those of us who aren't men, is that we can face abuse, stalking and physical attacks, after engagements don't turn out the way that someone wants. Preserving some anonymity can help to prevent people being harmed in such horrid ways.

Thanks everyone for your opinions, I stand by my original opinion if someone asks for a face pic and says they will reciprocate, they should!

There are lots of things in life that we may agree to do and then say no I can't be bothered or there is nothing in it for me, well where would the world be then .....

"Just happened to me again, people agree to swap face pics then after rejection of yours don't send theirs. Is this an acceptable standard?? Love to know others viewpoints and opinions.."

Why would you want a photo if theyve rejected you?

I've sent a photo and not had a reply.

It basically just says I'm not interested.

Nothing to dwell over or be bitter about, perfectly acceptable.

What would have changed had they sent the pic? The rejection still stands regardless

As most have said, if they see your pic and are not going to meet you, no point in sending theirs. If you feel cheated some how then why not ask them to send a pic first?

You can go off men who take weeks of chatting to send a picture. If they don’t have a face picture and take so long to send one then you don’t fancy them, it’s their own fault

I dont think they do it for kicks they do it cause its easier as some guys gets arsey and send abuse so easier just to block

We block if there’s no chance of ever meeting it’s purely because we don’t want to waste our time or anyone else’s time . And on the other hand if someone blocks us then they’ve saved us from wasting our time but we wouldn’t ever take offence to it
