With all the substitutions we're getting, it's going to be a crazy dash to the supermarket later Wish us luck!

Not that extreme, just swapped the goose fat for peppercorn sauce and didn't have any potatoes.

Had an epiphany yesterday.

Next year I'm doing Christmas dinner a week early to avoid the queues, shortages and mayhem. then a Chinese or Indian on Christmas day.

For years I have kicked the traditional Christmas dinner into touch and had an alternative, normally my favourite comfort foods, like fish finger sandwiches with ketchup or cheesy mash, stuff like that.

This year will be fish fingers, smiley faces, onion rings and a selection of christmas finger foods

We did Chinese and Indian take away for Xmas day dinner 2 years ago but has to book about a month in advance for decent time slot for collection 😁🎅🤶🎄

Glasgowish

Last year I ordered my Chinese weeks in advance with a 5pm collection time and when I went to collect it the place was mayhem and I never got my food until nearly 6. I was raging as I was back out to work at 7.30pm.
