I'm trying to make friends on here just like everything else.

I'm polite and friendly in my opening message to them only for it to be read, or deleted right away and one case this weekend all that then blocked.

What am I doing wrong? Should i just be a right bastard in my messages from now on?

it could be any number of reasons, from distance between you, accommodation preferences etc etc,

It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you, just that everyone is different and as a previous poster said, some folk get swamped and can't answer all mail, that's partly why we have used our message filters as single guys aren't whatvwe are looking for and it saves being inundated with mail.

Don't worry about it mate, I've been on here for yrs and it's always a but difficult to make friends due to the no. Of guys on here. But there are a good few worth chatting to. I'd sign up to some of the social events that are out on 4-5 times a yr yhe lady's yhat organise them are top notch and try to keep a good equilibrium of folk that go.

So you have a small pool of matching ladies to try to impress and connect with OP

As some others have said, get to some in person events and just let people see your personality.

After all of the above you then have to factor in distance. I would take a guess that your location is your main problem. You've posted a number of times before about the number of ladies near you being in single digits.

I'm afraid to say clubs will probably be your main source of contact as not many women need or want to travel from more populated areas to get a meet when there are literally dozens of guys near by. (I would say hundreds but ya know-preferences)

Well puts me off straight away, as for profile half of it looks like your on a dating site, and also i would not chat to anyone for long periods of time to make an intellectual connection to then see your face and not be physically attracted to you one bit, we all have jobs and lives people are discreet and option os there to remove picture once seen so thats why i personally wouldnt message you back

It's got nothing to do with you or your message m8 im guessingthat,girls and even couples have at least 50 to 100 more messages than we do ,out of that 100 maybe 20 sent a similar message to you, they picked 4 or 5 to respond to that best suited them , I find being polite is still the best way, maybe try reading a profile bio and using something from it to go in your opening message

Do you read the profile of the person you are messaging ? I ask because non of the single guys read mine & if they do read it, just ignore what I've said. If you do become a bastard, you can expect a lot more blockings, is that what you want.

It is simple really. As a single guy here you are in the biggest group of members looking for the smallest.

The usual problem with single guys who post threads like this is that they cannot accept rejection.

The fact is that we are competing against a lot of guys who present themselves far better than we have.

And the question about no reply? No reply means no thanks. Read the FAQs.

Seriously though you have to lower your expectations, a lot. A lot of the ladies on here are simply window shopping with very little intention of actually meeting. Many are here simply for the compliments which they get plenty of from guys desperate to get a meet and will say anything to try achieve that. Many ladies with end up engaging with time wasting men as a result of this skew then complain that they are the wasters. Unfortunately this site is designed around this for the ladies benefit and is not in any way configured to assist guys . It's the way it is. The ratio m/f is very much in favour of the ladies so they can be very choosy and make little effort, opposite for the men. Youd be far better seeking NSA dates meets etc on the regular dating apps. Everybody that's single on here is on them too.

This is a swinger's site for couples really.. as you'd expect.

Are you making sure you've read the profile. Are you making sure your interests match. Are you trying to stroke up a pen pal or are you interacting with someone potentially realistically nearby.
