Hey. My friends and I are considering hosting a party in the near future. We have not organised before. Any hints/tips? As in any good places to rent. How to create a good guest list with correct ratios etc . Thank you in advance x

Find a suitable Airbnb which is not too remote for people to travel to. I would invite people I know first before asking new people. The amount of people would spend on size of accommodation. Invite more men as some may not show. I would ask for a £20 deposit which they will get back when they turn up on the night.

The airbnb will be stocked with enough for the amount of guests booked, and your numbers will be higher. Take extra toilet rolls, bin bags, plastic glasses and spare sheets - you don’t want fined. Worth saying to people to bring a towel too if they need a shower.

Read through a few of the previous posts about organising private functions, as many share the same issues and there's been loads of great advice.

Don't underestimate how hard it is edo. Nor underestimate how unreliable people can be.

My key takeaway is to meet people socially in advance, to guage suitability and reliability.

If you can offload responsibility for anything that may harm you financially, try to secure it. Could a range of self-booked rooms together, be achievable somehow, for example?

You could always approach one of the swinging venues and enquire about booking their premises.

I'm fairly sure after dark could accommodate on a Sunday and cjs probably could too.

Saves you dealing with as much organising and clean up.

Invite those you either know or another option is anyone you invite give them an option to invite someone they know, that way you’re less likely to have no shows, deposit defo as it can sift out the ones with no intention of going, good luck x

The first one we went to was at an Airbnb, the others have been at the hosts own home x
