Well, I've had a miserable day!

Went to put the bike on the side stand and for once it didn't click into place so when I went to get off the bike and I ended upon the deck.

Result is one badly bruised foot on me and a bent clutch lever, tatty engine bar, various scrapes and a petrol leak.

Let's hope the Police, don't mess with the event, like the did last year for safety reasons!= ironic, when you consider most of the bikers, are off-duty coppers, and not drugged-up eejits hairing around on powerful bikes!

what is the attacks on police officers all about they are normal everyday folk out to make a crust and uphold the laws that WE asked for you aint happy with them take it up with your local mp instead of slandering these folk and let the well wishers post here about the event not your gripe against the police

I was in Yorkhill hospital a fair bit as a young boy so any funds raised for them is always great to see in my eyes.

Yorkhill Childrens Charity (YCC) are SUGGESTING a donation of £10 per bike for the parade. Please consider that all money goes straight to the hospital. You can of course give a different amount - Less or More.

Financial donations mean that Y.C.C can provide specialised medical equipment and other resources essential for the care of the children at Yorkhill. These of-course will go on long after the chocolate has been eaten and forgotten about.

Find out how to donate (and more) by visiting the YEER website.

Like many people I look forward to the day when the machinery and staff are all fully funded by the NHS.

Till then, these kids could be your kids, or your nieces and nephews, or the very premature daughter of a former playmate.

for those who don't know= it was mentioned in an article about the bike run, the previous year, that some of them were off-duty coppers, for the usual suspects having a dig at me- your out of order, I fully support anything which is aimed at bringing a smile to kiddies who are ill, or in recovery- and FYI, i always give to charity, whether its kids or adults, all those less fortunate than ourselves deserve support whether it's emotional or financial assistance.

As the parent of a child who was in Yorkhill during the Easter Egg Rally last year, I can't begin to tell you how much it brightens the day. The noise of the bikes had my kid hyper even tho she wasn't able to make it to a window to see. But it caught her attention listening for them.

The egg was eaten in very small chunks and it was better than any of the ones she had been bought! All at a time where trying to get her to eat anything was a real struggle. Sadly I never got to take my girl home.

I just thought I would let you know from another point of view what this means. So THANK YOU to everyone who organises and takes part in this event.

I was hoping it would remind some that while they are having fun on their bikes they are also bringing a bit of fun and excitement to others.

I was down on tyneside, about 18 months ago, about 100 hairy-lol, bikers, were raising funds for Cancer Research UK, and they were dressed in pink tutu's and some wore pink bras- we were in a queue of about 30 other cars, and we all gave our money willingly to a very worthy cause, whether it's adults or children all supporters and fund-raisers of these charity's deserve our utmost praise, a wee bit scary=lol, seeing a 6ft geordie guy in a tutu or bra lol

Nice to know that a few good people, can make such a difference to a small child's world undergoing treatment at Yorkhill, very worthwhile, knowing a child can experience the joy of an easter egg, long may the easter egg rally continue for the sake of all those kids, who are brought joy on one day of the year well done to all those bikers taking part, and a big raspberry to those wanting to prevent honest folks from helping to bring joy to a child
