Any recommendations for places to go for some tranquil paddleboarding around and up to an hours drive from Glasgow? Weekend weather looking promising!

Loch lubnaig , loch Chon are both good - don't forget your life jackets tho big push in at the moment for water awareness .I love Chon as it has a quiet pre loch harbour which is perfect for the novice SUP person - parking for it is directly before the loch campsite xx

Over there

And it's next to a main road so not peaceful at all...

Venechar, Archray, Chon, Katrine are all good.

Properly quiet are Lochs Voil and Doine, particularly the nice potter up through the stepping stones and river between them.

Tequila paddleboarding, I think we should make this a thing.

We had thought about Loch Venechar, not far from Lubnaig.

Ayrshire

Doonfoot at the Millennium bridge in Ayr is good for beginners with a nice flow out to sea at high tide
