I would have thought it would have depended on how many times you have knocked them back. Once a disappointment, twice unfortunate, three forget it! As for an unexplained no show that's unforgivable

maybe arrange a time that suits all of you or say whenever im free hope you guys are too?

You are no different to single women who have kids. I can accommodate but it takes a bit of organising. I imagine it's the same for you. At least, that's what I am taking from your posts, that you can accommodate, but not all the time? Most people are happy to work round any arrangements and for those who won't, then they aren't worth meeting.

WHy don't you put on your profile that you're a single dad and can't always accomodate or at the drop of a hat either and that should let people know before they even contact you. Might put some off right enough but at least they can't accuse you of hiding anything.

I think that perhaps this thread highlights there are perhaps - in general terms; not absolute - two camps within FAB:

1/. Those that use it as dial-a-shag

2/. Those that are true swingers.

As has been said before, vanilla life (family, work, etc) always comes first and true swingers are understanding of that. Swingle parents and swinging couples know that arranging meets has to be arranged around such vanilla commitments.

I'll probably be slated for saying this but the "dial a shag" mob are perhaps spoiling FAB since they don't fully comprehend/understand what swinging is truly about.

And again some people on here stir things up. The OP had a genuine concern and some of us gave our experience and good advice, but there is always some who has to have a go. I would suggest people read the post before commenting. Might save a lot of misunderstandings and knee jerk responses.

We all have lives out side fab, whether it be kids or work or whatever and some times we arrange a meet then life springs a surprise and we have to cancel.

Unfortunately there are people on fab who arrange meets with no intention of ever showing up, they give no reason and usually just stop communicating. Every time that happens it makes the rest of us suspicious and wary, those who do have a real reason to cancel get tared with the same brush.

I know it has me.

Ok, here we go...

Have been reading this thread, and the is swinging dead thread and have come away a wee bit miffed and a hell of a lot more confused than is normal for me. Heres what i got from it all so far.

1. there is some kind of mystical swinging manual that the "real swingers" have access to.

I have googled it but can't seem to find it. The wiki definition states that "swinging" in its original format was wife swapping. There are only two "couples" posting on this thread, so i guess the rest of us are just not up to grade.

2. New/ inexperienced couples aren't worth the time or effort.

Well i'll just piss off back to whenst i came shall i? Way to be welcoming! I understand that peoples time is limited, and that having fun is the main goal, but it's not going to be much fun if you run out of people to play with is it? New blood in any situation helps a community evolve and brings new ideas to the floor (i prepare to be lambasted by the "real swingers" as they hold tightly to their manuals in anguish). Maybe the reason people join then leave quite quickly is because they come up against this wall. How they hell are we going to be experienced is you wont give us experience.. It makes no sense to me. If it weren't for the nice people on this site that i know are tolerant, i think i would be one of those " user no longer on site" statistics.

On another point. Wouldn't you rather people came here and got advice and experience safely rather than coming a cropper of people trying to take advantage of them outwith the community?

3. This is a serious site, for serious swingers. No fun allowed :|

I like coming home after a tedious day and reading the exploits of Furry, Pirate Steve/ Captain Jack, Cutie etc. It makes me smile and relax, and realise that there are other "deviants" like me who like to have a laugh and a conversation. If all anyone ever did on here was talk about meets you may as well make it an advertising service. WAIT! Newsflash! Fab already has one of those, it's that thing where you post meets! The forums are like having a mini social every day, and because of them i know that i can go to a few people i'm learning to trust and respect with whatever questions etc i have. It's nice to know that they too are human and not sexual robots. But then again, didn't i see a comment about too many socials not enough shagging? Which brings me neatly to point 4.

4. Too much gabbing, not enough shagging!

So, if for some reason tomorrow i wake up and cannot ever have sex again in my life, i should be excluded from this site? Does it matter that my mind is still thoroughly sexed up and loves talking to likeminded people about it? What about disabled people who very rarely get to meet because of their medical condition, should they be booted off? Exactly what is the correct ratio of meets to socials?

Is this in the manual? i really need to get my hands on that book….

I could go on but thats enough i think…

I would like to thank everyone who has made my first two months on Fab so enjoyable. I loved my first social(Miss D)

, i have a great time playing in chat (all of my chat buddies) :D, and i love the banter on the forums (You know who you are)*smooches*
