Not for me. However, each to their own and good luck to those who would opt for it.

My instinct was to say an emphatic no but thought I’d do a wee google first. An even more emphatic no after that. Asides from the fact that what it does is stimulate the skins cells into producing melatonin and so carries a big concern re skin cancer it lists the following side effects :-

Side-effects include darkened skin, increased moles and freckles, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, flushing of the face, involuntary stretching and yawning, and spontaneous erections.

I confess a wee smile at the spontaneous erection part but Lordy Lordy … just no. Even a real tan is actually damage to your skin but at least it’s not got all those side effects.

I'd never heard of injections for this before and after reading the above I shall simply forget about them again. Thanks for the research

I wonder if they could modify this injection to help guys with erection dysfunction ? They could call it Tanagra the new wonder injection with added colour enhancement

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

No seems a bit extreme to inject yourself just for a tan .

I use Bellamiant, tanning products are great and it doesn't have that horrible fake tan smell like a lot of them do have.

I do spray tans with a power washer and a colour of your choice.

Creosote, medium oak or mahogany.

£12.50 a blast.

Agree. I wouldn't be injecting stuff into myself to get a tan. But I tan quite easily.

Embrace your natural glow. Xx

On a similar but opposite note, I was working in China as I am now but many years ago. Tan out of sleeping tabs for long haul flights went to a chemist there got ‘sleeping tabs’ but they never worked. Found out they had given me tabs to turn my skin white. WTF!!!

All melanin injections are unsafe when used for the purpose of changing skin color. Melanin injections are unregulated and have the potential to cause life threatening side effects. Illegally purchased injections bought online may be mislabeled or contain impurities that could be seriously harmful to your health.
