Dishoom for a breakfast nan is a must. If you like Chinese then Tattu is worth a look. Bonnie and Wild in St James centre or if you want fancy food there’s Tom Kitchens. Six by Nico also worth a look and does themed menus

I'm a huge fan of BrewDog people on Lothian Road. The burgers are incredible as are the hot wings and they have great vegan/veggie options too.

What food/bars you into?

There are so so many good ones in Edinburgh, from fine dining to cheap and cheerful

Great recommendations. Need to book Six By Nico well in advance.

Babas on George St decent too.

Chaophraya if you like Thai.

When are you coming. If it's during Festival time, prices for everything go through the roof.

Plus, you can't walk five yards without someone stuffing a flyer in your face for their "awesome new show"

We are definitely meat eaters and we don't mind paying for quality ( within reason) .

I am a guinness drinker so any recommendations on good guinness welcome too.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

Around the Lochs

So tried to message you but couldn't due to constraints.

I'm heading to Cork later this year.

Looking for recommendations for food and a laugh (love Guinness too but don't think I'll get a bad pint)

Malones at West End is a decent pint of the black stuff. Also Bennetts at Tollcross. Speaking with many years of experience

Message me if you want to know anything else. I'm long time living in city centre.

How did you find it? I thought it was a bit poor, to be honest.

Between Edinburgh and Scottish Borders

Six by Nico was ok but we were expecting a little bit more. The New York menu was rather disappointing. Maybe we will give it another go when they change it.

Depends on what food you enjoy. Many good restaurants and bars along George Street.

The Outsider is a great restaurant, as is Mussel and Steak bar, Howies good too if you’re of a veggie persuasion. K
