cyber bullying

after watching it on comic relief there

you have to wonder how much of this type of bullying on unnoticed

it happen's on this site as much as others

where as the love gone on here ?

share the love..... not hate

Yep it happens on here daily

But thank god some of us can move on from it while others carry it with them for a long time and seem incapable of moving on .

Even today someone thought they could still get to me but was actually laughable but hey if a charity gains from it then it's all good in my books some people need to move on and have fun as I'm doing lol

Are they not coming out with laws to protect vulnerable people from cyber bullying? X I think of you get neusesnce you can even report it to the police I think :-/ but not sure....

i think any kind of bullyong is terrible but i personally dont think cyber bullying to be as bad you just need a thick skin its only words. I do realise it affects people differently but come on peeps thats why you can block people x

You might be able to block them on here but then they follow the vendetta onto the forums and there isn't a thing you can do but keep reporting until they are removed for good ,but then they just set up other profiles to get a round that pretty sad really

There is a process to enable IPs to be blocked. However on site it is hard for the owners to really drill down the same person that comes back 2-3 times as remember they have thousands of members, some good some not so lol.

More importantly it seems the level of non-verified people has multiplied ten fold......returners or newbies. x

This only works if the person has a static IP. My IP changes so all I would need to do is disconnect the router and reconnect. A couple of minutes and the nutter can be back on. Even MAC blocking is no use if you can change your mac address. I use mac spoofing to get free wifi in hotels and airports

In the end tho these bullys just end up making themselfs look pretty stupid and the tables soon turn the attention to themselfs for the idiots that the really are .

cyber bullyin iz actually worse ova web n if u care 2 read the statz abt it .....hw many ppl/children commit suiside ova some daft fkin assholez who cnt leave decent ppl alone? letz al jst take a second out n think long n hard abt them that r no longer here due 2 assholez that think there bigger n betta bhind a fkin screen n keyboard thank u 4 takin time 2 read thiz .......

I don't care what kind it is, bullying is bullying no matter how you dress it up, the bullyer is just a sad pathetic piece of shit that prays on the undefensive, the peeps they know won't fight back for reasons of their own, and this is where the bully has the power! And as i have witnessed they always have their wee sad minions to back them...!

Exactly Laine, i once used to know and get on well with who was known/regarded as the wealthiest girl at my school. I was bombarded with nonsense, "what you talkin ti her for" or "you shouldnae be talkin to her", calling her a snob, but im sure if you look up snobbery in a dictionary, it will tell you, excluding others is snobbery itself.

Same with shouting, "your a bully" in forums, if theres anyone with a wee self doubt, and reading, "your a bully", they suddenly will feel intimidated and reluctant to add to forums, why? Because someone felt it was worth shouting about, with i suspect very little clout behind it.

you may have seen the results of cyber bullying on comic relief recently lots of funding going into legislation over it as its seen as a big problem 1 in 3 people will suffer from it for those that it effects bad suicide is the norm leaving familys with little avenues to turn too as usually ends up with a slap on wrist for instigators me i feel sad for cyber bullys as there lifes must be so bad that the only pleasure they get is through causing misery for another human being you dont like move on to those you do like same as if you sit in a bar

Yeah I've witnessed it too far to many times,the problem there is the he said she said carry that often goes on when bullying begins and people it has nothing to do with then join in ..it's not petty not is it clever

Once used to go out with a divorced woman, got on really well.

Her daughter,quite bitter about mum not with dad anymore,often used to, in her own wee way,,bully her mum, guilt trip her at every chance about not being with dad anymore, so mum tried her utmost to be the good mum to her daughter, spoiling her, trying her darndest to buy her whatever she asked for etc.

The daughter litteraly bossed the situation on a daily basis,and when mum had had enough,lost her cool,became distraught at her constant guilt tripping and raised her voice, as any normal person under that relentless pressure would, the daughter even then threatened her with calling a bullying helpline!!

Frightening, someone on the end of a phone potentially listening to her one sided account of things, when the reality was, mum was simply trying her best and at no time bullying her.

Thats my point here, clicking on a forum thread, reading all, and jumping to conclusions, frightening actually.

I do think SOME people who are the focus of negative attention time and time and time again, MAY need to re_iew how they approach things.

no excuse for the abuse etc etc, but they may share some accountability.
