I think this comes under more personal taste than overrated but I cannot abide Whitney Houston! I know she has an amazing vocal range but I can’t stand her voice. Especially on her “iconic” I Will Always Love You cover! Dolly Parton wrote the song and sings it so beautifully and tenderly. Heard dolly’s version a few times and it’s really nice.

Was a story saying Kevin Costner liked it and suggested it for Whitney to cover for the film soundtrack and it took off from there

Mind you, can’t knock Dolly for anything given what she does with her money on donations and child literacy projects

Beyoncé. Some of her earlier stuff was catchy but other than that, shite. I remember everybody creaming their skids over the Lemonade album. Her singing about shagging Jay Z on the lino in the kitchen. Very good hen.

Band of a generation. Superb band. Verty talented musicians. Ok browns Live vocals might not be great but we all know that. Couldn't have anyone else. Great front man and his songwriting is excellent
