" Its laughable really that guys on here feel that they have to lie to get a shag! " It could simply be a case that they wish to protect their identity (as stated earlier), or that they are merely experimenting. It doesn't mean they are completely Bi. By its very nature Bisexuals will have "degrees" of attraction to members of both sexes (maybe 90/10 or even 50/50) or that they will fancy everyone on the site. Given the choices of categories available when choosing on Fab Profile it's pretty limited, so perhaps they chose what suited best at the time. Again I keep mine as Gay even tho I have no problem having fun with the right woman if I find them attractive & the feeling is mutual. Doesn't make me a liar. Just means I've opted to stick with the label that best described me at the time.

"Weird when you look at a profile 1 day and they are both straight... Next day...both bi... Day after that he's straight she's bi...day. after that...I block Auds xx" Crikey, I don't think I pay that amount to anyone's sexuality if I'm stalking them. Lol!

If a 'straight' guy mails another guy asking to suck his cock and get fucked, HE AIN'T STRAIGHT!! I'm a straight guy that wouldn't dream of sucking or fucking another guy. If someone has straight, bi or gay on their profile doesn't that put the onus on them to actually BE straight, bi or gay? And your argument about it being 'that they may not want other people they may know to know they are bi or gay' doesn't cut the mustard. They are on a SEX site, for SEX!

"Let's face it, guys talk about sex wig their mates - mostly down the pub or in the locket room. Now unless the guy is openly gay or bi I.e out the proverbial closet, they''ll wish to portray themselves as macho straight bragging about size and all the different fanny they've had (apology ladies). So with such peer pressure & fear that they may find their mates are on fab, they'll usually mark themselves athemselves ad so as to keep up the façade. I think the above partly explains why SOME "straights" are actually bi perhaps even gay. And the flip side is true of the gay community. Peer pressure from fellow gays may cause some bisexuals to pit themselves as gay. Sometimes I do genuinely think that SOME elements of the straight and LGBT communities need their heads knocked together. Some are so die hard in their views that's almost on a par with bigotry. I keep saying it that EVERYONE is positioned somewhere on a sliding sexual preference scale where 1 = gay and 10 = heteto. Everytime I mention that scale, it beggars belief some of the comments. Many straights refuse to accept that a hetero can be positioned on the same scale as a bi or gay person. Don't know why that is the case unless indicative of some underlying homophobic view. Either that or living proof that many guys cannae read things in context. Anyways, better get off ma soapbox - anyone fancy a shag??? " Lol. Yet another bi guy pulling thdd old 'homophobic' argument out the hat! And what scale are you using? Is it the one outside boots the chemist? There are 3 types of sexuality, heterosexual, bi-sexual or homosexual! There ain't no scale-sexual!

And your argument about it being 'that they may not want other people they may know to know they are bi or gay' doesn't cut the mustard. They are on a SEX site, for SEX! " Firstly, I'd like to clarify that if edinguy404 thought I was mis-quoting or taking out of context his views, which he is entirely entitled to, then that was not the case. My intention was not to inflame or cause any disrespect. I merely intended to spotlight the fact that "some" (not all) people are not lying when they chose the category available on Fab. Of course I completely understand why he would be confused by recieving an unsolicited mail from a straight guy requesting sexual exploration, just as I understand why he would then block the user(s) to stop further unsolicited mails. So I hope there's no hard feelings. I also hoped that some of the things mentioned in my posts would prompt people to think about the complexities of sexuality rather than rigid labels & therfor stigmas prevailant in Western Society. The "scale" which other users refer to is known as the Kinsey Scale which was a theory in which Alfred Kinsey attempts to describe a person's sexuality at a given time. It uses a scale from 0 being exclusively Heterosexual, to 6 meaning exclusively Homosexual & 7 denoting Asexual. The scale also notes a variety of other sexualities from Androphilia (used for identifying a person's attraction to sexual qualities without attributing a gender identity to the person. This avoids bias inherent in Western concepts of human sexuality, & avoids confusion and offense when describing people in other cultures, intersex or transgender people.) Kinsey's theory also further suggests that approximately 10% of people aged 20-35 scored 0 or 6 (exclusively het/gay), with most falling somewhere in their lives between 1-5 (Bi). I would urge users to read more on the Kinsey Scale if they are interested in learning why Western Cultures contribute to the confusion over sexuality & it's fluid nature. More on this can be found on Wikipedia or by Googling "Kinsey Scale". Fritz Klien takes the theory further by taking into account a time factor over past, present & future meaning that at some point in our lives, under certain factors & circumstances few of us are definitively one thing or the other. (This may account why "Straight" people contact other "Straight" folk on adult sites). My own observations are that today's generation (possibly since the advent of the Chemical Generation)are infinitely more open & wish to be less constricted by Western values of traditional scales or labels of sexuality. They appear predominantly more open to a fluid nature where sexual gratification is not dependant on gender. Sometimes (as witnessed on other sites) entirely hetero people have a fascination for masculine/feminine feature & characteristics in guys/girls & feel uninhinbited enough to openly admit these admirations online, yet never act upon them by following them through to having sex with the same gender. Sometimes they do. I hope this has been informartive to the discussion & that it partially answers the reason why folk who chose an available category on the site might not be entirely one or the other. As well as the privacy issue (which I touched on earlier) it could also be that they are fake profiles, or trolls who like to wind folk up. Keep smiling folks & happy searching for what turns us all on... the touch of someone else.

"Sorry but if a guy sucks ,plays ,even touches another man's knob...he's bi curious at the very least. End of " I don't know if that was in reply to me. That is exactly what I was saying. That if a guy sucks, plays, touches, another man sexually (and enjoys it and does it again), he is bi, not just curious.

"I agree with the the poster above... Should guys in a DO change their profiles too. Having read their profile & note that they are smokers yet get mails from non-smokers do those folk change to "will meet smokers"? The categories are merely indicators & not everyone wants to limit their potential target audience & meets. Some however do & use the filters etc to this effect, which is entirely their choice. Just as it is a Bi woman's choice to filter or block folk she doesn't consider suitable or wish contact with. To address the OPs original question my advice is see the categories as indicators but not neccassarily set in stone as many folk will remain open minded & fluid if the attraction is there. If they do block you, then don't take it personally as they're not the person for you & look for folk who are suitable matches to your choices. It's a Fab world afterall. " well said Hubby

"what about the squiggly guy. according to many on this thread, being a guy,and knob touching,of any kind, makes you bi. so partaking in sex involving dp,would make you bi. meaning any guy who was ever involved in dp sex, would have to change their profile, from straight,to bi. i've said it before, when involved in a mmf situation,if the only physical contact the guys make,is high fives.that's going to be one tense threesome. " I've been in mmf and mfmf and DP'd a woman - but I don't think that makes me bisexual - just someone who likes having sex. I'm not bothered if my cock touches another guys cock like that, just like I'm not bothered if my cock touches another cock if a woman is sucking us both. I'm not into holding another cock, neither do,I want to play with one and I don't want another guy playing with mine but I am secure enough to know the difference when in a group situation and pleasuring the woman involved

There are 3 types of sexuality, heterosexual, bi-sexual or homosexual! There ain't no scale-sexual! " I rest my case, m'Lud. I think you will find many "hetero" disagree with you on that opinion. Many couples and singles- and I'm talking ladies as well as guys - see themselves as being somewhere between hetero and bi for the simple reason they are not 100% hetero 100% of the time since they enjoy same sexplay some of the time but not all of the time. On your assertion, where do such people find themselves. Not bi becase they are mostly hetero. Not hetero because they like bi play. And on a personal note, you do not know me nor I you so on what basis do you assert that I am "yet another bi guy". Perhaps you checked my profile - yes it says my sexual oientation is bi. But that is simply because the fab site uses a 3 point scale. I thought long and hard about whether to place mysel as straight or bi. I am hetero but do enjoy same sex play occasionally. I see myself as 80/20 hetero. Perhaps I should place myself as hetero but that is not accurate.
