Sitting in the bath with my Spotify on and how crap is new music compared to older music

I do have a very wide taste in music but definitely prefer my older music to the newer stuff that's came out recently.

On that note what is your go to Spotify playlists?

Been terrible for a while, very few actual bands out there, I'm not a music nazi, but wouldn't pay to go see someone play a laptop!!!

Seen some amazing bands live but honestly wouldn't even know who to go and see now lol but then again tbh it's only ever been rock or metal gigs I've been to over th years not sure I'd like to see a laptop player live haha thats more like the guilty pleasure side of me lol

I've actually found quite a few new bands I'm enjoying, I suppose it depends what you're into or how hard you look.

If you can't find any new bands or music you like I would suggest you are looking in different places than you used to (or are so set in your ways you arent prepared to give new musicians a chance.)

If listening on Spotify, try letting it recommend new music to you. It should do it based on your existing listening. I have tried it and found loads of new stuff from artists I had never heard of.

Randomly discovered I like a lot of Swedish music.... weird.

You might not like some of what you hear but remember you didnt like everything you first heard in the 80s either!!

I've tried this a few times and I think it's because my mix is so wide it just throws anything into the mix lol

And I didn't listen to music in the 80s (even though they do have some brilliant artists from then) lol wasn't born till 92 haha

Some heavyweight bands on your list, Slipknot and Korn ones I want to see, kicking myself for not going to see the prodigy. I seen Pink Floyd at Earl’s Court biggest band I have seen. Danko Jones at King tuts last December was amazing crowd unreal. I think most people have a cheesey band list.

That was a class gig. The band Esoterica, who supported them are playing The Cathouse in April.
