Seriously… how crap has this site become!

I’ve been on and off for a good part of 15 or so years.

Nothing much has changed. I think the last real change was when they introduced videos.

The site takes our cash every few weeks and offers very little in exchange.

There is so much that could be done to better the site and make our time more enjoyable on here.

What’s everyone’s thoughts?

What one thing would you change on here if you could?

What exactly do you think would give you value for money ? The site works out at approx 8 pence per day to use as a supporter.

I think it’s great value for money given you can even be here without paying

It is what you make it really, we are all on different journeys and fab helps those journeys along a bit so suits me for the time being

If it used to be amazing and nothing much has changed then whys it still not amazing? Are you not getting meets? Is that the problem? That's not the sites fault, and noone says you have to pay, the site is free to use

I find it funny how you say not much has changed… covid changed loads of folk on socialising… then apps came along with there compution… more swing venue came along…

News papers where reporting social events and clubs on a constant basis some even getting raided by police lol…

Folk where murdered down south and fab was in the news it became very well know site. Tik tok even has video on it. Hence why the influx of “single” men and fantasists and time wasters etc

But no nothings changed

From the users online at this moment in time , for a year has generated £1,985,280 assuming their site supporters (and bearing in mind that's just who is online , so to get to the op's original point with the money that's generated very little improvements to the sites been done in the 13 years I've been here , the tec aspects of the site are archaic , he's not complaining about the meets he gets or doesn't get not once has it been mentioned by him .. far too many folk read a header and want to jump down someone throat !

Apps and sites should move with the times , in the 13 years I've been on site , there's been an upgrade on cams that was forced because Adobe was forcing that , and videos have been introduced .. in 13 years that's piss poor when you think of it . I like the site but that's down to the friends I've made and the socialising I've done but really that's not down to what the tec is or what the site in itself offers .

The site supporters that's been collected in surely they can make changes that benefits users , the emojis are shocking , there is no 1 to one chat option , pms are the only option for this but you still need to go through the chatrooms for that. It could be much better , the site works because of the people using it not for the investments the owners have made in it .

Personally speaking, I think the site does "what it says on the tin", more or less. And, perhaps, its not moved on much in the past X many years it's been on the go.

However, OP, what improvements do you think should be made? Not much point saying it hasn't changed much, if you have nothing constructive to offer yourself, in my opinion.

I think there are two themes,

1. would it take much investment to build a platform better than this one. No. i am sure someone will soon.

2. The site has moved on i think, it is less of a hook up site, more a place to keep in touch with like minded swingers.

If you were returning after 15 years, you might be dismayed by the lack of road map. but i am sure a competitor is on the horizon.

Right now, its the best at what it does.

If you feel it’s not worth the fee then you don’t have to pay it .

The site isn’t responsible for the experiences you have and the end of the day that’s why most of us are here .

I’m more than happy with the site the way it is as it allowed me to do what I joined for and that's to chat and meet people I'm interested in .

Only one big change and think it would be good for all and its regarding private notes

Usually to read the private notes you have made of a profile, you have to click on the profile but what would be good is:

If for example you see a list of profiles in a search or updates etc.. if your mouse hovers over the name instead of clicking into the profile and then the private note you made would come up in a box and means you can read it and what you think of the peeps/profile, i.e. not for you etc...it might even save you going into that profile.

This is an easy implementation for the peeps who code the site

As an interface then the site is dated, however some may argue its its charm.

They could update it to shiny toggle and create a more asthetic look, however underlying that will still be the same user content.

As for in general, I like the sites content.

There is already a lifestyle app available which provides a much better experience than FAB. It’s more like the modern social media we all use. But FAB have the user numbers. Let’s be honest no one is here for the site quality, it’s just most swingers are on fab so you kind of need to be on here. Close to a monopoly due to sheer volume of users. Particularly in Scotland.

That might change at some point though, if this new app keeps growing. If it does it might be too late for FAB to re-act.

Like one of the other posters pointed out. They must get millions in supporter fees per year, with little investment back. It’s kind of a cash cow now.

This site could be a million times better and slicker than it is just now. Just takes a little bit of the millions they get every year to invest in it.

No one is allowed to mention the other site, otherwise they ban you too.

Just done a search seems to be 5 good apps definitely worth a look.

The site is fine, I don’t really know what anyone who is complaining about it actually has a problem with, just that it’s not ‘new’.

If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Most of the updates in the past few years to social media sites (YouTube, in particular) have been needless and for the worse.

Don't think there's anything wrong with the site. In design and workings, its very basic but it servers a purpose and does what it says on the tin. The thing is, the owners have realized this and kept it the way it is.

The only reason why there would be changes is that a new competitor comes online with a better, updated site but until that happens the site will probably stay the way it is

One thing i really do notice more and more on here is people whining and moaning, you aint happy ....leave.... yeah the site and folks expectations and manners have shifted a little... but it is what it is, better sticking with the formula, if they made it more flash more glitzy and glam we would see even more folks treating it as only f4ns on giro wages!!

It’s the people that make the site and as such I’d have to agree with you.

I first joined this site as a divorcee many years ago and soon got a good rep’ with good veris and had with a bit of hard work had a few meets here and there. Similarly when I had a few decent couple meets with a fwb and then progressed to very occasional club and party meets when in a relationship.

We’ve now pretty much given up looking for couple meets as the amount of times people go quiet after initial chat or actually plain and simple “bottle it” is unbelievable.

I’ve got the “yellow reminder” on my profile right now. I think this time I won’t bother…..

The site has always been fantastic, meeting like minded people whether in person or via what's available by the features and my recollections I believe the message features were added for friends only. Video has been going on long before I joined and maybe a few security features added newly added which is great.

The site can only improve by users putting suggestions but myself the site covers everything

It’s definitely what you make of it. If you make an effort then you’ll reap the rewards. If you join and expect the women to come running to you then you’re on the wrong site.

I’ve always been proactive at organising social events and it’s definitely helped to meet people and get meets.
