I understand why people prefer people who have verifications, but do you also look at non verified people? I feel people like me are skipped by due to no verifications, but this is because I am still a newbie to the site. Newbies won't be verified due to this, so that makes it harder to get any meets. I'm sure this would put some people off the site. I for one, will still be trying lol

Agree that people might pass profiles by if no verifications but also people pass profiles even if they have verifications, it is what it is.

BUT

Sorry Have to disagree in regards to getting verification.

You can easily go into the scots chat room, have a chat to peeps on cam and ask someone to verify you as you can verify by cam.

You can also go to the clubs or even some of the socials and usually get verified by peeps who have meet you there, even if on asocial aspect.

No profile pic makes me skip profiles, not much info or pics in general makes me think you're not very interesting. People who message us with, What's up, how are you, are you free... Are never going to be on the potential meeting list. Make the effort and the verifications will come.

I totally understand. A good first message is always the best way to go. I don't display a pic but have added in my description that if asked for a pic I will send. This is part of my anxiety I hate having my pic on display but don't mid sharing privately

Agree that people might pass profiles by if no verifications but also people pass profiles even if they have verifications, it is what it is.

BUT

Thanks I will try cam rooms as I don't usually go out to clubs ( social anxiety and I don't drink).

People dont have the time to message and ask for a pic speciallt if your profile isnt very appealing. A nice profile pic will draw more attention it doesnt need to be of your face and deffo not a cock pic. Have a look at other successful guys profiles and get some pointers.

Thank you I will work on profile and try take some sort of pic I am comfy with. Won't be a cock pic as bad enough I can't post face pic without anxiety kicking in lol thanks again.

For us no verification means we won’t meet. There has been one exception and that reiterated why we only meet verified, by meeting, people.

Like someone said before if you have no visible pics , just body pics, then we’re not interested as assume you have something to hide.

Definitely have pictures, have a picture as your profile picture and try and make it appealing. Profile should eb interesting, what your looking for a bit about you. Look at other profiles and think what not to do and what to do, (don't trust my profile ffs, use it as not what to do)

No no I don't take the no replies hard as I have came on the site with the view that I might not get any meets. The site maybe have a great rep for hook ups but I still have no great expectations. I just done this post out of curiosity about people only meeting verified people and how strongly people stand by that statement

Depends on what you’re looking for on Fab but I would suggest going on other dating apps if you’re looking to actually meet people. Some people from this site are on other sites. Social meets are always said so another option for you. If you can start to address your anxiety you will end up getting on and you never know how things go.

Agree it has to be honest. We’re collectively relying on each other to be truthful and I know it’s nice to be nice, or difficult to tell a hard truth but that then means some veri’s are useless

Edinburgh doesn’t seem to have anyone organising socials as regularly as Glasgow. There’s both a weekly pub quiz social and another coffee social run in Glasgow area that anyone is welcome at and can get verifications from. They don’t cost to attend, you just turn up.

Pink & LittleMiss organised socials at After Dark from March onwards as monthly event except for June. August didn’t happen because of the festival

Quite honestly I won’t go to any socials held in Glasgow as it’s a long way to drive, plus I have zero energy at the moment so driving that far would be dangerous
