Which side of the fence are you on?

Team ‘oven is set at 200° regardless of what’s put into it”

or

Team ‘I will operate the oven as per the food cooking directions’

I consider myself a cook so depends what I'm making/cooking, type of food, volume etc.. so mines is always varied so unsure if i fit into team 1 or team 2

I'm a bit of a cook too so always varied temperatures to suit whatever it is I’m cooking .

Where's the airfryer option?

Cuts the oven time down significantly.

Oh - as per instructions for temp, but cook a little longer as I don’t preheat it.

My famous slow roasted lamb shoulder would be a bit shit if I cooked it for 4hrs at 200. And on the flip side my roast tatties would take too long at 200.

I don’t necessarily follow instructions but I do adjust depending on what I’m cooking.

I don't even talk in terms of temperature. I tell the weans to fire it on at "half six". That's the dial half way round, so 200 degrees...ish.

Almost thought you were talking about something else there, "just look and poke it till I think it's ready"!

Like a few others I'm trying to get the hang of an air fryer so experimenting a bit. Got to say it is working well though, oven goes on for pizza (temp as instructions and check progress) and Christmas dinner but not much else.

The talk about Air Fryers. I cook the conventional way but the air fryer is superb. I make bread, poached eggs, Thai soup, honey glazed root vegetables. No limit to what you can make with the air fryer. I’ve got a duel and love it

I have a terrible oven so I just shove it on around 180/200 and shove things in and hope for the best

In my experience just shoving it in and hoping for the best is never the best option, technique is paramount! x
