I know this is a swinging site but I have noticed many have kinks so thought I would ask here.

I am really interested in getting in to the BDSM scene, with the right person I am very submissive so would like to explore that side (I have wanted to for long time but don't know where to start). I have done some research about munchies/clubs etc...but quite shy to just turn up on my own without knowing anyone is scary. Is that the best way to meet people on the scene?

Not a good idea.

I am into BDSM in a form .

I would go along to somewhere like Club Violate or somewhere like it for my first time and get a feel for the scene. Speak to some of the regulars

There are others on here more in your age group try talking to them too

Good luck, it is a joyous game to get into if it is your thing. Not a lot of people like it, and I hope it's something you have thought through and not a follow on from damn book

Ha I knew somebody would mention that book. No it's def a proper interest and has been for a few years just not been brave enough to go further. Thanks for the advice, will look at the club

Try looking on fetlife, which really focuses on kink, bondage and spanking! It's worth a look, you might find a few good groups to join and chat with

my advice to newbies starting is to chose your top three things (very specific as well, not just vague ideas) that you want to experience. and, how far you are willing to go.

Set this as a clear goal in your mind and the rest will fall into place naturally if the lifestyle is for you.
