Only bar apart from the last post that I know of in paisley is the uni students union. Ok I guess only real advantage is cheap booze and lots of hot students...

Paisley

Back in the 80's Paisley was the epicentre of nightlife in Scotland.....with buses coming from all over even as far away as Brechin!!!!!

There was 4, maybe 5 "dancing's" Paris, Toledo Junction, Backchat, Talk of the Town, Shuttle's and Chaplin's.

Place was jumping......funny how things have changed.....but the good pubs remain. Wee Howf, Tannahills, Craig d'hu. All good boozers.

Was that b4 they introduced the 11pm curfew in the pubs and clubs to try and curtail the amount of stabbings?

Paisley

Yep,

Forgot about The Cotton Club at Maxwelton too.

It was probably the amounts of people coming to the clubs that attracted the drug dealers into Paisley. Then a turf war started. People getting stabbed etc.

So victim of its own success?

Carnegies was the place to go before hitting the clubs.

What was the name of the nightclub that was on Seedhill Road across from East End Park. There was a snooker hall and a gym in it as well if I can remember rightly.

Nowadays for me it's Gabriel's. The place is always mobbed every weekend.

Ah a few places mentioned that take me back to the days of my twenties, especially Toledo.

Corkers used to be good, not forgetting the very late nights or should that be early mornings at The Cotton Club
