There is some truth in that but then again everyone loves to hear the good stuff. Were conditioned from every angle so good news is reduced to the 'and finally....' segment at the end of the news.

It’s lovely to receive a compliment on here and I always acknowledge it.

Conversely though when you turn someone down you end up getting a tirade of abuse, derogatory remarks and abuse. Maybe they should learn to accept it when someone isn’t interested.
