Bi sexual week

Since yesterday was bi visibility day (can you see me?) and this week is bisexual awareness week, this might be a good time to dispel a few myths around us lovely folks:

We’re not greedy or more likely to cheat.

It’s not a phase.

Bisexuality isn’t transphobic, the definition is attraction to more than one gender.

You don’t need to feel attraction equally for different genders, it’s completely valid to be hetero romantic and still be bisexual.

Bisexual men aren’t higher risk, they are in the same risk category as promiscuous couples (aka swingers).

Any more myths that you want to dispel?

Shamelessly taken from the lounge

A guy that’s bi does not want to shag every male he sees.

you can still be bisexual without having a same sex experience.

you are still bisexual if your dating the opposite sex monogamously.

you don’t fancy everyone of the same sex.

you are not greedy.

i mean i am but that’s a different story lol.

There is always one, I wouldn’t give him the attention.

Another myth:

A bisexual male/female will always cheat on their partner.

Oh oh and another, bisexual human beans face less stigma….

Around the Lochs

I've just recently changed my orientation from straight to bisexual as I like a blow job from a guy every now and then.

Does that mean that I'm bisexual or does it mean I just like blow jobs

Lol weird how folk try to turn it round as if I'm making some sort of negative anti bi comment here's a clue I couldn't give a shit if your straight,bi, gay an outer gebrovian black white asian or any other dividing factor.i simply don't see how "awareness weeks or any other look at our group thing creates anything but the division that it's claimed it will avoid why not just get on with it without the need for i/we want highlighted for a day week month mellenia

I understand your comments let’s just have human being appreciation .

Reasonable you’d think regrettably there are loads of different types of us humans who face abuse or discrimination regardless so if by celebrating these differences leads to greater understanding and acceptance then I’m happy for whoever want to have these days or weeks .

The best of these awareness campaigns have to be disability and pride as they welcome everyone their very inclusive .

My profile says straight but because I’ve had bi fantasies that included my ex partner as that turned her on in my past mean I’m not straight or am I classed as bi curious all the time?

Most of my profile views/favs/messages are from straight guys. Id be willing to bet most people of both sexes have these fantasies from time to time.

I always get shock when I say I have had gfs as well as bfs. I think a lot of people tend to think you just play with both sexes. Nope sorry it means I can connect to both sexually and otherwise. Such a suprise.

Thank you for this myth bust array of thoughts. As a bi man in a bi couple we are lucky to be able to be out to the world. Many people do have to keep their queer identity very secret. Here on this site amongst fellow sexual beings I really appreciate honest open profiles.

Are the 365, mostly, straight days not enough for you?

I actually find "Gynosexual" is more suitable for me,i was recently made aware of this recently by jgmex couple,(Thank you for that) . Personally i don't see a problem with awareness weeks,im pretty sure a lot of people get something from it, which is a good thing, so let the awareness days continue IMO
