There are very few trains from Killie to Ayr.

Looks like the train is the way to go

North Ayrshire.

I think the park & ride is £10 and they advise pre booking. Much easier with the train.

I gave up! Traffic to Kilmarnock was horrendous. I decided to get the X77 bus as it was every half hour according to the timetable.

Waited over an hour and not one appeared. A number 4 arrived but was only able to take a few people as it was already busy.

By this time people were drifting off as the buses just weren't arriving.

I was driving into Kilmarnock at about 12 o'clock and the traffic was at a standstill from just after the Fenwick Hotel

We headed down too, did wonder why there was no internet. Also the car parking was a shambles at the race course.

I work in Ayr and so glad it was my weekend off. One of my colleagues picked me up on Fri night to bring me home, and I'm so thankful she did.

It's at times like these that I hate not being able to drive as the buses have been a shambles from what I've heard x

I drove in around 3.30 yesterday, managed to miss the majority of the queues and get pulled into a spot exceptionally handy. Caught the last 2.5 hours and had a cheeky pint. Worth remembering for next year, you don't miss the show stoppers when theyre all at the end!

Next year might be worth catching a few fabbers for the afters

What a shambles this weekend has been. I tried to get to the show by bus from Kilmarnock yesterday but no buses showed up so I went home.

Went to Ayr today by train from Irvine only to be told when I got there that no planes would be flying today.

How do you have an airshow with no planes?

My internet also worked fine. I think it was just because there were loads of people using the service at the same time

Tbf if you'd done a search, the programme for what was happening was online. And I'm not trying to be a smart arse, but might be with checking for things like that in the future x

That was only for the festival village, but I can see how the confusion occurred x

Seems that I wasn't the only one to get it wrong according to a steward I spoke to. Surely a message could have been put somewhere to say that there were no flights.
