"Just wondering why so many people on here from Scotland seem driven to type in dialect language Fair enough some words are different but that isn’t my point You never see scousers or geordies or other English regions typing in a ridiculous way that some Scot’s feel the need to do " Why is that affecting your life so much? Who cares? Live and let live, let people be happy by doing what they want and if you’re not happy about something as trivial as that block them?

So what? | |||

"Just wondering why so many people on here from Scotland seem driven to type in dialect language Fair enough some words are different but that isn’t my point You never see scousers or geordies or other English regions typing in a ridiculous way that some Scot’s feel the need to do " What IS your point? Aside from the fact that 'dialect' and 'language' are distinct, and that most 'English' words aren't even English in origin, expressing your apparent distaste under the guise of a 'just wondering' seems somewhat disingenuous. Presumably you felt you were entitled to express yourself according to your own preferences; perhaps do the courtesy of letting others do the same without labelling it as 'ridiculous'. Never know, it might even inspire you to expand your own patois.

"O my Love is like a red, red rose That’s newly sprung in June; O my Love is like the melody That’s sweetly played in tune. So fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in love am I; And I will love thee still, my dear, Till a’ the seas gang dry. Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi’ the sun; I will love thee still, my dear, While the sands o’ life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only love! And fare thee weel awhile! And I will come again, my love, Though it were ten thousand mile. One fae the bard .. somecunt dig him up and let him ken he's ridiculous " Beautifully put bonnie lass

Language and dialect has evolved. I think what the OP is alluding to is that while it’s perfectly ok to talk in your dialect, it’s the ones who message the same way that are a bugbear. Personally, I couldn’t be arsed either way but everyone is allowed an opinion on everything
