"We are looking to do a bit of wild camping before the really bad weather comes. Has anybody any idea of any nice quiet spots with some good scenery. Thanks " We've got a quiet spot, with lovely scenery. Not quite fully 'wild', but you can have a campfire and it's very peaceful. Have a look at the profile xx

"Plenty of places now this are getting quieter , ardrossan beach is good and the restrictions lift in the trossachs in September too xx" I've had lots of great night camping in the trossachs... if you don't mind a walk / hike / ride, there are lots of great locations that aren't subject to the restrictions! (Which seem to cover the areas you can drive to!)

"Remember if you are turning up at a location close to the road, and/or in large numbers, and/or with large numbers of people, and/or with large tents and camping furniture you are not wild camping and have no right to be there under the access code. Large numbers of campers have been causing problems in Glen Etive and other areas, and it is they who will be responsible for us losing our rights to wild camp if they don't start showing respect for the areas they visit. Be part of the solution and not part of the problem. " Well said, you should only bring with you what you can carry by walking or cycling. Then you'll find quiet places to yourselves and stay within the spirit of wildcamping. No use looking for somewhere you can just drive to and expect it to be deserted.
