Stranger Danger

This lifestyle has some inherent risk's as we are generally meeting with strangers. As a male my risk is reduced of course but as a Photographer with a lot of expensive kit when visiting anyone, even just for me to take pictures, there is a risk I could be mugged. so I have some safety protocols I use to protect myself.

Ladies/couples even, What do you do to ensure you are safe when meeting strangers?

Just go about with the crazy eyes so they dont mess with you. Can take a shit in their house to establish dominance

Being relatively new to the scene we only meet people who have a few recent verifications.

Saftey is a huge concern of mine, I’m a photographer who can come and take photos of you with my equipment btw, and I must stress the worries of stranger danger everyone

Initial meet is in a public place. I have an ICE contact I always tell where I'm going and if they haven't heard from me by a certain time the police are called.

Not at all what I meant. My photography services are not really advertised on here but other sites.

You could set up a text message to check your ok before calling the police. I had a code that I’d send to a friend so they’d know it was me.

I meet fewer strangers now but I used to make sure someone knew where I was going. Now I only meet in public and at clubs usually unless it’s someone I know well.

Yeah I've got a friend that always knows if I'm meeting, and where and who, if they don't hear from me by a certain time they would be coming through the door!!

If someones a wrongun they are going to ensure they gain your trust. Not all monsters come out on a first meeting. It's a chance we all take when meeting people and not just on here. You can be at the pub n full of singing ginger, youre vulnerable and you're open to risk there. People get attacked out walking their dog, or going to a shop. I understand having a mate to contact but realistically, if you're with a psycho you're gonna be offed by the time your mate raises the alarm cause they haven't heard from you.

For sure take precautions, meet publicly once, twice or how many times you need to and guys, dont think you're safe just cause you're a bloke.

Thankfully, majority of folk are decent and have no nefarious intentions.

"For sure take precautions, meet publicly once, twice or how many times you need to and guys, dont think you're safe just cause you're a bloke."

There was a woman in this neck of the woods who'd set up profiles on sites, wanting to meet. However, when the guys turned up, her partner and pals were there to relieve them of their wallets, by the point of a blade.

It happened a few times, till someone stumped up the courage to go to the police.

Use common sense and normal precautions you would take meeting any stranger from anywhere. Public place suss them out. Before even agreeing to meet chat long enough to get a sense of them.

Most folk are way more ballsy online that they ever are off it.

I always insist on an initial meet in a public place. I know this doesn't guarantee anything, but there are other people around x

I ensure I'm always safe by staying in my house and not going on meets.

I did say "heard from me" I haven't stipulated how that's done, could be many ways.
