would any fabbers be interested in attending a lunch in glasgow open to all new and old members it would be in city centre pub tba and you buy your own lunch all i am trying to do is have a social and if you wish ,optional donate a few pounds to help me raise cash to buy 4 sets of junior lawn bowls and a boccia set for indoors use for old disabled and infirm folk every penny i raise before april 14th will be matched by a local buisness ,so if interested in coming and supporting again donations to the fund remains optional please sign up ty

much obliged to you for your positive feedback i propose march the 13th its a wed and as its a lunch we could consider from 12 noon onwards and then its up to all who attend when and if they care to go home or with whom ,,, let me know if this date is suitable cheers folks will attempt to secure a private area also

sorry folks its mid week i am just trying to offer something at lunchtime thats not like other socials to cater for those who are available a saturday lunch means shoppers using up the space and evenings rules out inexpensive lunches ,of course i would raise more at a weekend or in an evening but i hope those who can will

We could make Friday 15th and could I suggest a PayPal donation for anyone who'd like to contribute but can't make it ... I've worked with capability Scotland and seen people there enjoy competing in competitions for lawn bowls and boules ... Such a good cause xx

update....i have just checked out the just giving site but as a sports club they have not applied for charity status as apparently has something to do with rates or council tax exemption all double dutch to me as for pal talk they suggested i provide my e mail address to anyone wishing to donate and they will hold all monies in a suspense account until the treasurer wishes to collect in his bank and his bank access the suspense account and they finally get the cash and i will provide evidence of club getting every pound donated via e mail i will scan receipt in and e mail it to anyone on request to retain my integrity and to provide proof your cash is going to those who need it most thank you

yes friday the 15th of march kick off 12 noon venue shall be comfirmed closer to the time as i have one reserved for larger numbers in a private area and another on standby if numbers remain as they are at present the numbers of folk coming lets venue rota sufficent staff but i will comfirm details closer to the time but it will be in glasgow city centre cheers thanks for all donations so far

i just had a message asking me what kind of food will be on offer ,,as i said before you select your own food from what ever is on offer at the venue.as much as i love indian not everyone likes

no cash required to come to join us for lunch apart from your own lunch money ..which you order and pay for on the day . any donation you care to make can be given on the day to myself or if you prefer to a paypal suspense account via my e mail address available on request for those also who wish to donate but sadly cant make it on the day

you control the costs and those who come pay on the day those that cant can still donate via paypal as a suspense account has been established by paypal to accept donations and all donations and receipts for equiptment bought can be seen after they have been purchased upon request

as i said before if you dont order food then its costing you nothing but your bus fare to the venue a drink or two maybe and hopefully a donation to the cause ,, so its a chance to meet fabbers and of course freddo,,lol

Today was a great day (OK, maybe the fry up aside) and I'm delighted it raised some good money, Robert, for a more than worthy cause. Kudos to you big time for organising the day. Great to meet some wonderful people and I hope to see you all again very soon

my sincere thanks to everyone who came to the lunch today and supported my humble efforts to arrange a meet and raise a few pounds at the same time thanks to those who came a distance and apologies to frisky for not spending time chatting but i do hope you enjoyed the day ...you all helped me raise on the day an amazing total of £175..and i thank you prior to the day i received an anon donation of £100 and many others to the paypal account which in itself was £190 and i raised elswhere another £110 giving a total of £575 towards the £950 target and i know this will grow further , so thank you ALL for those who said they were coming and never turned up and those who said they would like to donate .you still can via paypal if you so wish thank you to everyone for making today such a warm friendly laughter filled day and my apologies for the quality of the food and for anyone else running a social event dont be scared to do so but take a deposit non refundable from everyone who declares they are coming as those who didnt prevented others from coming except those who informed me and by doing so let me offer a place to others on reserve list was great seeing everyone today hope to see you all again soon

Fabulous amount raised Robert and hope the extra addition you got today also helps raise extra funds for the charity where i know it will be more appreciated

A big well done to you was such a good wee day and not laughed so much in ages but have to say dessert was definately the most memorable part of lunch for me hee hee hee.
