Hubby and I have been on and off for some years now but there doesn’t seem to be as many organised socials these days. Is this something covids put a stop to or just not a done thing now? We prefer a social meet and take it from there lol x

Welcome to join us for pre drinks anytime we’re organising them which is usually in Fun For All nights.

Issue with socials is venues often charge to reserve an area. Really depends on what kind of social you’re looking for. I do a pub quiz social on a Tuesday in paisley and a coffee meet up on a Sunday in Paisley.

I think social meets a a bit harder to find now.there are a few people that arrange group 1s .maybe type in search bar to find them

Thanks. Might take you up on that someday. More likely the Sunday than Tuesday due to kids etc but we will see x

We sometimes enjoy the social as much as the rest of the night. We have met some wonderful people through socials and actually get to talk and have a laugh.

I think everyone seems to have so much on these days that larger social events are sometimes harder to manage where smaller "let's meet here" plans are easier but often last minute with little time to prepare.

I'm the same. I would always have a social meet first but prefer 1-1 socials rather than the big group events. Still need to work myself up to one of those.

I used to organise socials/drinks nights and parties but real life took over then covid hit .

I’m not sure what the situation is now venues but would think pretty much back to normal now so might think of arranging something in the future
