The socials organised by Pinkandlittlemiss have been brilliant for me and I've now got a wonderful group of fab friends. So much so, a group of us went to Blackpool and another group of us are heading to Leeds next month. There's also the plans of a weekend together in November!

Outside your age range re fun, which is fine, but would happily meet for social if you’d like. Similar to other posts I’m always up for cuppa and cake, I also enjoy cinema, theatre, gigs etc. it’s a good social scene in glasgow, keep an eye on the forum for organised socials as they are quite regular usually at least one a month often more.

Agree with so much here, next to impossible to meet new people if you have come from outwith Scotland and the couple of times I tried CJs it was just tough as a single man.

A walk in the nourishing rain followed by far more nourishing cake perfect intro.

We are a local couple who also love a good social. We are not the most confident couple and its important for us to feel comfortable with someone. Its also lovely just having a drink of coffee with someone who you are not necesarily going to play with. Its good just to be in touch with folk who share our naughty hobby! A lot of people in our society dont understand this lifestyle and how much fun it can be. Even if we are not each others type its good to be in touch!

It's the same when you move to any new country no previous network of friends, and without obvious meeting points such as work nowadays for many its tricky to assimilate.

Not sure I agree with that.

If you mean you message people who are hundreds of miles away then fair enough, as outwith clubs I won't meet anyone more than 40 miles away from home because I'm looking for regular playmates.

If you mean you struggle to meet people as you're originally not from Scotland then I don't see why a different accent should preclude you from meeting anyone.

When you went to CJs did you attempt to get chatting with anyone, or did you just keep to yourself? If you did chat and were interested in them did you ask if they'd like to play?

Hi, thanks for the thoughts, I'm referring to moving here from a different continent not messaging from afar, in days gone by you would meet new people at work, at the school gate, etc, in this digital age a lot of human interaction has gone by the by. Its not an accent thing, mote not sharing same cultural backgrounds - didn't know St Johnstone played in Perth before arriving here.

CJ,s was an odd experience, did try to mingle but tricky 'butting' into groups who know each other, asked one couple if they played but no takers - that's fair enough.

So walk and cake it is!

So walk and cake it is!"

I'm not local, so i know how it feels. It's hard moving to a different town, let alone a different country. I still struggle a bit where I am now, even after having lived here for 13 years. I think it gets harder to "make friends" the older we get as well. On the countdown now to move back to where I was before we moved to the Borders and hopefully will feel more at home again.

The fab socials are a fantastic way to meet lots of people and a good excuses to get out away for a while. And so are the swingers clubs, but I never go expecting sex to avoid disappointment if it doesn't happen.

Hope you've settled in well in Perth and don't write off the clubs just yet

Agree with so much here, next to impossible to meet new people if you have come from outwith Scotland and the couple of times I tried CJs it was just tough as a single man.

A walk in the nourishing rain followed by far more nourishing cake perfect intro.

Not sure I agree with that.

If you mean you message people who are hundreds of miles away then fair enough, as outwith clubs I won't meet anyone more than 40 miles away from home because I'm looking for regular playmates.
