That's it's only in the Scottish forum you get these endless.....say something about the above poster type of chain threads...

Don't really see the point of them myself .....but they seem to be very popular judging by the number of replies...each to their own I suppose...

It's a bit of mindless fun. There only seems to be a small number of people who post on the Scotland forum. Maybe if more people did we would get a bit more of a variety.

Completely mind numbing, those threads but yes, harmless and the proportion in the Scottish forum is far higher than in others.

If you don't like em don't read em and as said you could always start your own thread.

It is just an observation....and by posting the question was a thread not started?

And whether it not it is thought provoking is in the opinion of the reader...

Nothing detrimental was said in my original post. Just a curiosity as to why they are so popular.

Just like my other posts.....which all start with a

question....which is the essence of all thought provoking debate...

Anyway....off to the shops....there is a pair of shoes with my name on them in Silverburn...

You kinda have to read a bit to decide if its crap but sometimes seeing the name of the OP is enough.

I agree with _nny... mindless. If you want to shag snog or avoid them, why not message them rather than blow smoke up every females derrier that posts on these forums.

Any thread can be interesting, some funny, some serious, some thought provoking. It all depends what mood the reader is in and whether they want to put their two penneth in. I just post on ones that take my fancy at the time

Loving seeing the forum regulars who immediately take the offensive with posts like this. 'Tally ho chaps and chapesses, someones said something against the forums posts. Chaaaaarge'

Well said the OP, there are a lot of threads of 'what would you say about the person above', 'what does the person above have for breakfast', 'does the person above look like their mums name starts with an S' and so on.

As someones said, its pretty mindless stuff. Just my opinion though.
