Time wasters

OK not the usual post but one we thought relevent.Having arranged a meet have had to cry off at last minute due to man flu as she calls it.Our worry is how many peeps get labled a timewaster due to unforseen circumstances such as this.

dont think u are a timewaster if u have a genuine reason to call off...illness being one.

more the ppl that arrange to meet then dont show with no call/txt etc.

if ur ill, ur ill and dont worry bout it, these things happen x

If you at least phone and explain to all concerned and re-arrange for another time it helps. Everyone has had unforeseen circumstances arise which have postponed meets, explaining instead of ignoring makes all the difference. Get well soon xxxx

thanks guys have informed other partys concerned but as we all know it dosnt take much for people to come to a conclusion rightly or wrongly about how gen people are.

I think a lot of people who have been canceled on get the idea of a timewaster as someone who then turns up at a club or another meet about half an hour after telling them their budgie died etc.

There's always potential for something to crop up between arranging a meeting and the meet itself.

It's how you deal with it that's important, and if you've done the decent thing and contacted the other(s) involved then that's the right way to deal with it.

To further show that you're genuine, you can also re-arrange the meet.

Agree fully with others that if a genuine reason not to turn-up, then not a timewaster. What does' anynoy us is pushiness, on the other hand. We only swing very occassionally and never ask for face pics (we state this clearly on our profile). Yet if we don't send someone/back a face pic (when we didn't ask for thiers) OR./ if we don't 'want' to meet them straight away, then they get huffy! I think that respectof other peoples wants and truthfulness are the keys.

a single lad asked me today if he cud meet with me an cpl others that were meeting up an yet again.

left us sitiin in the cold an freezin oor asses aff.

so yip anither single lad down the drain an folks wonder why its hard to trust single lads when u give them the opportunity to meet an leave u standin like a fkn idiot an send stupid txts .

i feel so bad for the genuine single lads on here an its because of idiots like him that you prpbably dont get to as many meets as you or us would like xxxx

We had one not long ago left mrs sitting in a bar on her own and only text half an hour after they were supposed to meet with a bullshit excuse.

Best of it was, he had NO MORE TIMEWASTERS at the top of his profile.

Has put her right off meeting guys on her own now.

These sort of ppl spoil things for the genuine guys on the site.

every swinging site has timewasters....you will never fully get rid of them....but genuine people always stand out at the end of the day....just dust yerselves off and move on....yup its annoying and can piss ya off but hey ho everyone at some point will come accross them....plenty more fish in the sea so they say !

I know single guys get a bad name for messing folk about...(something i would never do)..bu I was badly let down by a 49 yr old single woman on this site a cple of w/ends ago...we arranged a meet, I booked the hotel and paid it of course!, told her

on this site and never heard a cheep from her again....her profile has been withdrawn also..i met another for coffee and she then went and blocked me out of the blue!.....that hurts! i can take rejection(tho to be honest it doesnt happen often!!) but this was so low and makes ya feel so angry....well i could go on, but you have done well if you are still reading this far without cutting your wrists!....to all the gen folk....i love ye all and want to meet you..but i WILL have to spread it out over a few nights!!!...lol

First glance, some saying "im getting pretty peeved " etc, and been here, months,your going to cop timewasters, been here/swinging 7 yrs and still get caught out by them.
