Visiting the wonderful Scotland again 11 year in a row...love it.

So the A9 from Perth to Inverness has those nasty avarage speed camaras on. Do they work? No one but me seems to stick to 60mph everyone is flying past me

Fife/ Newcastle

Not only do they work, the constabulary also like to site the mobile camera van on the dualed sections of the road just to add to the fun and their coffers.

Yes indeed the views are just fantastic, im off to (near) Applecross on Sun via Inverness and the journey just gets more breathtaking every mile. You Scots are truly blessed with the landscape but your speed cams suck....lol

No, they're fake. If you stay under 90mph you'll be grand.

They work. It’s 70 on the dual carriage bits and 60 in the singles (unless you’re in a bigger van then the speeds are lower). Great drive up on a nice day once you get to Killiecrankie and dunkeld

Yes indeed, off through Inverness (great bridge) then onto Garve? Turn left and across to Torridon and Shieldaig (forgive my spelling if thats wrong)

Id quite like to become a hurmit in the mountains with just my bike and a big boobed wild red head lol

Not true, you can sit at 60 and 70 in a big van the cameras don’t know the difference. Obviously a friend told me this

Back home now. I guess it depends if they record your number plate too then check that against DVLA and see you are a PLG vehicle

Then there is the whole 5 seat van being a mpv or a van debate And dont get me started on potholes!!

You could always consider going slightly over and building in a coffee stop en route!!

You'd be amazed how much that drips your average speed
