Hi Folks

Thinking about going to my first social, but being a very straight single male,i'm not sure where would be best for me? or what even would i do? stand alone at the bar with a cola !? or could some body guide me through the rules or etiquette ! i wouldn't want to look/feel like the proverbial spare prick!

Thanks for reading so far!

Socials are great wee nites to meet new people and get yourself known on the site .

They are usually in private function suites or just bars ..few drinks a wee dance sometimes a wee buffet and some flirting lol but they are great fun.

Socials are advertised on the forums so if you see one you fancy stick your name down and go along but dont expect people to come flocking to you people will definatley make you feel welcome but you've also got to get in amongst it all and introduce yourself ...Good luck

Well I'm a social newbie too. Miss Jac's December one due to illhealth (which sadly continues) but 2013 is my year of the social.

From friendswho have been its really just a social night out - drink n dancing n flirting - just like any night out really - only your with a bunch of peeps that swing.

Who you pull - or who pulls you - and what happens privately before or after is entirely up to you.

You'll be fine - have a blast

The first one I went to I decided to try on my own, smiled said Hi and got chatting to quite a few people.

People are easy to chat to and are mainly very friendly, so pop along and see how you get on.
