The number of one liner messages “how’s yous” “yous free” we seem to be getting at the minute is ridiculous. Are we missing something? Do these actually work?

You have to wonder...

The guys (and girls) that send enough copy and past messages that they "run out of messages", how many "FAF"s is that?

And you'd have thought after sending 50 "FAF" messages and getting little response,that they might realise a different approach was required!

I genuinely put effort into initiating some chat for it only to remain unread. Not moaning lol. Nature of the beast.

Yeah i have to agree there. Doesn't stop me trying to find something on a profile to start conversation. Only so many ways to say "hi, hello, hey, good evening" ect

Yeah i have to agree there. Doesn't stop me trying to find something on a profile to start conversation. Only so many ways to say "hi, hello, hey, good evening" ect"

If it’s a relevant one liner - ie clearly related to what’s on the profile, that’s different

While there are a lot of one line wonders who chance it (down to fuck anyone?), I can also confirm you've the same likelihood to get on the bulk delete train if I were to put in effort to read a profile and write an articulate first message.

I don't subscribe to Hi etc, that's what winks are for. Couples and single ladies get swamped by messages with no content or spelling/grammar. Makes the hill a steeper one to struggle up at times...

I’m new on here and haven’t really posted much, I’ve found that it doesn’t seem to make much difference how relevant you keep the message to the profile. One liners even if thought out seem to get patched. I have had responses but with zero effort put in. I’m finding it hard to gauge.

There must be a terrifying ratio of men to women on here. It’s light entertainment and I think when some people do get ignored they take it far to personally it’s meant to be fun. Just my two cents.

Guys do get a hard rep on here but every profile type has its challenges.

You (guys) may struggle to catch attention but being the 50th "hi" "morning" "wanna fuck" message in a ladies inbox isn't going to cut it.

Woman have these to deal with, there are times I just can't be bothered wading through 30 odd messages on couples profile never mind 300 like ladies get so need nibble away at them in short bursts.

Simply put, Fab is a minefield and draining and you will never get it right as for example 1 women will potentially block you for a 2nd message chasing up whereas another will potentially thank you as 1st was lost in the bombardment of messages.

Same stays true though for single men, best way to make traction is to get to social events, it's an instant way to stand out from the thousands of other local men.

I don’t want to be rude and genuinely sometimes just can’t be bothered looking at the messages sent. Some men do put a good effort it and so many are just hi or want to meet type. I may open a message or not open it depending on if I recognise the name as someone that I have spoken to before and maybe didn’t want to continue or I have seen them write something on status or forum that’s made me want to. I keep thinking I’m maybe missing out on the right person/people for me by not reading every single one, but it’s not possible. I do think it’s really hard for guys on here

I was on here as a single guy years ago before i married.

Like i do to people now most of my messages were deleted.

I only had 1 meet then got tired of spending valuable time sending a real message introducing myself gentlemanly only for it to be deleted especially after id never once not read into who i was contacting and matched our criteria.

I think today most guys here are just sick of spending their time for a delete so the majority of messages are always the exact same trying not to time waste 'how you doing' once we answer its normally 'you uoto much' its really just the ice breaker but ill delete them anyway because these messages haven't took a moment to read into who their contacting or if we have a criteria match.

But i do get why 3 word messages are sent.

I never knew how to cut n paste before but if i did id of did that and made some adjustments depending on who i was contacting.

Just found messaging was eating up too much time and left the site.

Its hard for single guys as the numbers are so high and most like i was are probably just sick of their mails being deleted so want to keep it short and sweet.

Do believe its important to know who your contacting through but thats maybe just me

If someone has bothered to write out a decent length message I will always reply, even if it's to say no thank you. One liners get completely ignored unless they're being a rude twat then I'll inform them of where they're going wrong.

I always reply someone thats taken the time also because i know its a sucker spending that time for nothing but most are one liner who haven't looked into our profile so ill bin those.

Think for women on here, they’re are literary 1000 guys to 1. Just a case of choosing well.

Those odds are very challenging or more like impossible for men though.

I bet it is the really decent sound guys who women say they want that don’t get near.

For women though, I’d bet it’s the same dirty dicks that pull constantly but are counting the notches. Gives the decent guys a bad name.

I will reply to most messages because that's the way I am.

The ones I won't reply to though are those who have messaged before, and clearly just copied and pasted as I have the same message 3 or 4 times despite having previously said thanks but no.

Guys do get bad press on here for messages, but as with all things in life it's the minority that ruin it for everyone x

We get the one word messages, the one line messages and the cut and paste ones.

We get probably 20 of these to every genuine message.
